This bread slicer makes cutting even slices easy. The included knife is a nice touch. Works very well for sourdough bread.

Good for accuracy, but still unable to cut through hard bottom of sourdough. Easily cut with knife to create many scars on the product. I ended up buying a metal deli type of bread cutter that is perfect.

I recently began baking my own bread and love this simple, attractive tool for slicing it for various needs.Sometimes, I want a sandwich with thin-sliced bread to cut down on carbs. Other times, I like nice thick pieces to make garlic toast to pair with spaghetti or lasagna. It is very easy to store because it is designed to fold up nicely when not in use. I like that has a crumb tray on the bottom. I toast the bread crumbs to use in various recipes.I recommend this product.

Keeps crumbs under control but the bread slides around when slicing.

Unfortunately this bread slicer has several faults. I had high hopes as the idea is very handy for someone who makes large sourdough loaves frequently. In my case, it was essentially useless for that. The bread slides around too much, the provided knife is so cheap it doesn't actually work, and when i slice a loaf that has a bit more thick crust I found I was hitting the edges and almost carving pieces of the edges of wood. I just don't see the quality being there and it didn't make my task of slicing bread any easier. Another annoying thing is that there were no directions provided. It's not super difficult to use, but still has a weird set up and is annoying to waste time figuring it out rather than having directions included.I did use it also to slice just a small, soft loaf of bread (pictured) and it worked well for that as far as getting even slices. The soft bread is so easy to slice anyway though, that unfortunately it isn't worth purchasing just for that, in my opinion. Positives - it collapses pretty flat for easy storage, and it catches the crumbs as you slices, so it isn't messy, which is awesome!

This is not a good design. It’s extremely large and doesn’t work for most artisan style loves unless your loaf is huge. A 16” knife doesn’t even fit the slots to slice the bread. I want a refund.

This bread slicer helps me achieve even bread slices every time. I make a lot of homemade bread and this is really useful to me. Normally my slices ranged in thickness from 1” to wafer thin when I was cutting freehand. Several problems factored into that and that is what I was looking to avoid. With this slicer, I don’t need to use so much force to hold my bread in place, so I can simply focus on the cutting which prevents my bread from getting crushed. If I keep the butt of the bread against the end and the side against one wall, I find it doesn’t move around. The slots are nice and wide so I can even use my electric slicer with this apparatus. I highly recommend trying that if you have one. The knife that comes with the slicer could be an inch or two longer but is perfectly serviceable. I leave this on the counter when I have a loaf of bread on the go because it looks nice and keeps the crumbs contained. If stored cut end down it stays pretty fresh. Any size bread that I’ve tried will fit, even large boules. When it’s time to put away, it doesn’t take much to clean up. Crumbs dust easily off the smooth bamboo and the sides fold down to make it more compact.

We like to get fresh bread and this has made slicing it at home so much easier. The bamboo is very strong and I like that the grids are set to give you a ‘not too thick’ slice. Comes with a bread knife to use with it and my fav feature is the crumb tray built underneath so hardly any mess at all.
