I often carve stamps to make print cards and fared well with art block erasers for years. Then there were grey linoleum stamp bases mounted on wood blocks that were harder of my carving tools but hold up better through many prints. I was surprised at how soft and thin these pink blanks are, definitely not thick enough to carve both sides, and I think I will mount them on blocks before use. I’m pleased they’ll be easier to carve than the grey ones. The full 4 x 6 inch size is excellent, but also they are not difficult to cut down to size if needed.

Typical pink lino blocks. I still prefer blocks with backing (it makes the edges a lot cleaner to carve,) these are precisely what you'd expect. No defects, no rough patches. Just plain old pink lino blocks. If you're looking at this product, you know what they are - and they're 100% what you'd expect. Pink lino blocks. If these are cheaper than other varieties... pull the trigger. If they're more expensive... don't.

These took almost a month to arrive, so I removed a star. Outside of that, these blocks are smooth, even and easy to carve and print. I have seen and used slightly less expensive options. I haven't personally experienced a difference between brands at this level, so I recommend you purchase what works best for you in terms of size, price and shipping time.

My 10-yr old daughter recently took a craft class in which they made small stamp heads by carving similar blocks. She wanted to try more at home, and these pink 'linoleum' (PVC?) blocks cut smoothly, and work well with her ink pads. I'm very happy with the experience, and the general performance of these - it made for a fun family activity together!

I ordered additional blocks for future projects in case I needed them. They're a bit thin, but they get the job done.

Carves more easily than I expected. It is soft and flexible. I am not quite sure of how I expected the texture to be, but this is somewhere between the texture of an eraser and silicone. It slices easily with a sharp blade and you can easily draw on the surface to make your guide lines before carving.Ideally, one would have a set of rubber or linoleum carving tools to use with these sheets of linoleum; however, I used a standard hobby knife/craft knife/pen knife and some wood carving tools I had on hand just to make something little and see how I did. My examples are by no means expert! They were easily and the hour I spent on the two of them was frustration free. There is no off-putting scent whatsoever. Each of the 5 pieces was individually wrapped so they won't get mucked up while waiting to be used. There is enough in this set to do oodles of little stamps. I wasted a good bit by not planning well when I started, but I still used less than half of one sheet to make these two stamps that are 2x2 (the cake) and 1.5x3 (the house). This is a great deal if you want to play around with carving stamps or printmaking. It would give you plenty to work with if you were to have a teen or ladies craft night for 5-10 people.

I wanted to get into stamp-making, as I am attempting to start up a small business. This seemed like a great opportunity to try my hand.I am still a beginner of course, but these blocks seem to be dense and strong, yet with a bit of flexibility. I have tried a few test designs, and it seems to carve well. Great for my purposes!

I tried printmaking in college and really enjoyed it. I've been looking for some creative hobbies to spend my time and energy on, and this is such a great way to get back to printmaking. I like that these blocks are 4x6 so they will perfectly line up with cards or prints that are a 4x6 size. They are soft and flexible and will allow for nice deep cuts, which expands your creativity. The possibilities are endless with these Bobblebro Linoleum Linocut Block Printing Kit for Stamp Carving, Soft Relief Printing Linoleum for DIY Crafts & Art Projects! The blocks are wlel made, mine actually came with some serious damage to the outside box, but the blocks themselves were in perfect condition and should withstand multiple uses and cuts.
