Tapered bolts center base plate over bolt holes and slip fit bushing allows you to move from hole to hole without moving base plate. The screw extractor is then used to remove the broken bolt. Includes bushing to drill to tap size when extractor cannot be used.

Typical lisle Quality. This thing works great. The plate is fixed to the head while the interchangeable inserts are used for different sized bits and tools. If you’ve got the engine out and on a stand, it’s easier to manipulate the engine into the proper position and work on the broken studs. This tool makes it easier to do it in the vehicle. A must have and the proper tool for the job.

Lucky I only had 2 stubborn studs to drill, this made the drilling perfectly centered. It came with 3 1/8” drill bits… should come with more !!! Lol

Would be a good product if they provided decent bits. I had one of the 3/16 bits break off deep in the head, and wedge in there. I was fortunate after hours of working at it to get it out, but it doesn’t always go that way. Use good bits, NOT the bits that come with the kit!
