This solar charging controller has made managing my off-grid setup much easier. The built-in Bluetooth allows me to monitor everything directly from my phone. It's built to last, with an IP68 rating for dust and waterproofing, so I don't have to worry about the weather. Mounting it was straightforward thanks to the built-in holes. It works well with my LiFePO4 battery, keeping everything running efficiently. I find it very reliable.

I paid a lot of money hoping to get a quality controller that stays within the required voltage for a Topens gate opener but this charges the batteries way to high. Total junk for the price they make you pay.

I set up a little solar panel area on the side of my shop to run wires into the shop to charge some lifepo batteries that I use to power lights, but I needed a way to charge it, so I got this unit.It is a small sealed unit that was perfect for attaching to the board on the back of my solar panel rack, and I loved that the wiring is all done with the pigtails since I didn't have to try and put together yet another little project, I was able to focus on the rest of it.It didn't take long to install and get things set up, and it has been working nicely for months now to charge 4 12v batteries.

I used a panel that i know puts out 199 watts and only got 117 watts to the battery. Battery was at 60% panel at perfect angle.

I got this for an experimental "toolbox" battery box to be able to use while camping, etc. It's small, very small. I've never used a charge controller without some display and that isn't 4 times the size of this. It works great, connects well, has indicator lights to let you know everything is good. My only real issue is that it comes with fairly small wire despite being able to handle panels that default to 10AWG wire size, and I don't like connecting different sized wires together. I'm also slightly disappointed in the length of the wires since that's not really depicted in some of the pictures. Overall it works great for my purposes but I'd probably get a charge controller that can accommodate bigger wire sizes directly if I were setting anything larger up. Especially for a PWM controller at over $50.

A few features that drew me to this were the idea of conveniently checking the charge status from inside my home without having to go out into the yard to actually look at the charger, and the fact that it just has bare wire ends so you can setup your own connections depending on what your panels and such actually use, be it MC4, SAE, DC plug, etc. Wiring this up to my SAE connectors was very easy, they do give you easy disconnect terminals to use, but since I'm using SAE quick disconnect plugs anyway I just direct wired them and added some additional heat shrink tubing I had for safety. The wire used by the controller itself looks like some pretty low grade silver stuff, maybe aluminum, and not rugged copper, but it seems adequate to the amount of power it is rated for at least. The status LED lights at the bottom of the controller are basic, but work, and it's the app you are expected to use anyway, so I'm glad at least there ARE any LED lights so I can see it is functioning on its own. The Bluetooth app is serviceable, but not fancy, and my main critique with it is that it does not have any automatic pairing or security functions at all. Every time you leave range and come back you must re-pair with your controller, through the app, direct pairing with the phone never connects, and you can pair with the controller and see and manipulate settings from any device that has the app and chooses to pair, no password or security checks required to change settings, including battery type and charging voltages... Not happy about that. The range of this is weak enough that it isn't really too much more convenient than going outside to manually check on the device, at least through a wall. Outside I could stay connected while in the yard, but once inside I could only get a weak connection by holding my phone against the window directly across from the charger sitting on the porch. This did charge my battery well, giving it 53 watt hours from a small 20-watt panel I had in the half an afternoon I first tried it out, according to the app. Using my 50 watt panel over the whole day it easily charges my small 7Ah and 12Ah LiFePO4 batteries without trouble. As a basic device it is a decent charger, but the Bluetooth function is poor at best thanks to the limited range and questionable lack of security. I will use this to charge small batteries when I can keep an eye on them, but for a larger array, the lack of security in the pairing function that lets anyone manipulate settings would make me too anxious to trust this, and I wouldn't really recommend it.
