First let's start with "THIS IS NOT FOR A HUMMER H3!!!!!" THIS IS FOR THE H3T SMALLER MORE COMPACT ENGINE TRUCK BED VERSION OF THE HUMMER... unfortunately this part is no longer made for hummer h3 2006-2010, not even after market... this piece of crap right here is as close as you're going to get... 1st you need to (disconnect battery) grind the rivets off the old aluminum tip of your old upper steering column, remove the bolts on the new one and put old tip on new upper steering column... next bulk up the tip of your old lower steering column with tinfoil tape or something similar to get rid of the extra play and wiggle room from the old lower column... next take the new lower steering column and place that directly in the recycling scrap pile because you find out like I did today while replacing entire rack and pinion assembly, (I got excited and happy when I had new lower steering column prepped and attached to new rack and pinion), that's when you find out it is exactly 1 inch too short and is therefore a large useless piece of junk.... thanks guys for the low blow.

It will fit but it binds and has more play than the origanal with bad u joint. Does not come with pinch bolt for intermediate shaft. Upper shaft makes noise and binds when steering. support was swift and sent me another one right away. still no pinch bolt and has too much play. Returning and buying OEM.

Firstly, it was very difficult to fit. Once finally fitted, it worked for awhile with binding occurring during cold morning starts. Now it’s full on binding all the time. Perhaps it’s defective? Would recommend getting the oem part.
