Since its introduction in 1980 (38 years ago), the Audio-Technica AT95E has been regarded as a very special cartridge. More than 5 million owners can testify to it greatness. Now it has been discontinued - a victim of the product life cycle in consumer electronics where a perfectly great product has to be revised, updated or replaced. On one side, this is beneficial to the industry and end-users since it forces constant research and dvelopment. On the other hand, it is wasteful and ironic. This fosters making a change for the sake of making a change product thinking.

Older than the USA— 273 years old to be exact, the Vieuxtemps Guarneri Del Gesu-1741 named for its most famous owner the leading Belgian virtuoso and compompser who esteemed it so much he wanted to be buried with it, recently became the most expensive viloin in the world, selling for an estimated $16 million. Its new owner anonymously donated the historic instrument to violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, on loan for the rest of her life.
Thus we curated this stylus as testatment of our esteem for the historic Audio-Technica AT95E cartridge so devoted owners will continue to hear this pearl at its best for many decades to come. I used this stylus for a fix on my 2 year old Clear Audio Maestro that I broke the tip off of.Had to use a razor knife to shave the plastic,and then it popped in and sounds great!Also used it as a fix on a VIRTUOSO cartridge by clear audio,same great results..

I am so impressed with the sound of this stylus...it is quite literally a jaw dropping different experience in clarity and air over my seven year old LP Gear highly acclaimed ATN95SA stylus it replaced. It was just so easy to snap on a new stylus vs. aligning a whole new LOMC cartridge as I’m now very satisfied with the supreme music fidelity of the nude micro ridge diamond ATN95MR for my Thorens TD-309 turntable. I think you’d be as happy as I am having this if you already own the original AT95 cartridge!
