Unfortunately the downpipe is too short. Other than that the build and finish are awesome. Wish I could use it but it doesn’t fit as advertised. (I have an ‘04 Civic EX)
Little Engine That Could

2004 Honda Civic LX 1.7L SOHC. Very pleased with this kit. Easy to instal and adjust. Could be improved with Cat/Header spring bolts. The chances of re-using the OEM bolts as instructions suggest are slim to none which Magnaflow is aware of... Regardless, good fitment. The tip is contacting the plastic bumper shell so I will lay a couple of header wrap strips between to protect the body from heat (*Update: shroud tip design can contact bumper, doesn't heat up. No need to lower muffler with new hangers as other reviews have suggested.) You might consider fitting the pipes, marking them, and then disassembling to weld the center u-bolt clamp joint and eliminate that clamp. It is below the passenger rear door and I could imagine the possibily of contacting debris, speed bumps, etc. The front rubber stay is welded to the underside of the pipe similarly... odd. Great kit regardless.

I went with magna flow because the quality and sound of their exhausts are well known. Now that this project is all said and done the quality of the construction is very good and it sounds awesome . The reason I’m giving it a three star just for the simple fact that it does not fit very well at all. The first time I installed the exhaust on the car I tried adjusting it half a dozen times or so. After having no luck I took it back off completely and started over from scratch. After having to put a little dimple in the pipe to clear the forward sway bar (after shifting the sway bar as far as I dare to clear) I was able to finally get to hang where I was OK with it but it’s still not perfect. I also ended up having to get rear hangers roughly an inch longer to get to clear the rear bumper and even so it’s still rattles on the bumper a little bit off and on.3/8/2020 update. No problems so far still sounds awesome. I forgot in original posting that I installed this exhaust on a 2001 Honda Civic LX. Another reviewer stated that getting longer hangers for the rear to clear the bumper is not necessary because the tip stays cool. It is correct that the tip stays cool but the 2001 thru 2003 I believe have a different rear bumper cover than the 2004 and 5’s. This exhaust would not have cleared my bumper cover without the extended hangers and I assume it would be the same for any 2001 through 2003.

I just put this on my 05 civic ex vtec and I love it, it's not much louder then the stock exhaust but it's definitely a meaner sound. It doesn't sound like those annoying ricers sounding like a 2 stroke engine. The only downside is the new muffler was to big so it was touching my bumper so I had to buy new hangers so it would hang a bit lower.

do not fit well ,leak in every join ,too quiet,you have to welded for not leak.i do not recommend it ,i am really disappoint.

this is an excellent exaust for the price.. not ricy at all!!!! everything bolted together with no problems.. the only bad thing i have to say about it is that ive had to adjust it twice from it breaking in, but once its completly done i think im going to have anotherbracket welded on because my car is lowered and if i hit a speed bump it scrapes.. but soumd quality is excellent

This exhaust is very well built. The welds are nice and clean, the finish is nice, and the exhaust note isn't much louder than stock (big plus since it's my wife's DD). Installation was easy and straight forward (except for the bolts on the cat not wanting to come off - but that's not magnaflow's fault).

This exhaust is really easy to install and sounds great. Not real loud at all at idle in fact dont know its there really. Just a nice tone at take off and cruising speeds. Excellent.
