My wife bought me this impact for father's day 3 years ago, but with only 1 battery in the kit at the time. I cannot tell you how many thousands of fasteners I've put in with it or rust bolts it's broken loose, but it keeps on ticking. I've since aquired more makita than I'm willing to admit. The trigger is easy to control for delicate work like drywall and it's strong enough to fasten heavy timbers. If it ever does wear out, I will not hesitate to get another one of these pretty little beasts!

I’ve never owned an impact driver in the 30+ yrs I’ve used power tools. After using this product, I don’t know why I missed out on a great tool like this. I highly recommend this tool combo. Buy the one with 2-5amP hour batteries vs the 2 amp/hr. I’ve used this thing to drive hundreds of torches screws over days and the battery was still at 4 bars full charge!I think you’ll have the same feeling and experience with this tool too. I’ve used Dewalt tools for years, I’m now a fan of Makita for my future replacement power tools

Love the way it fits in my hand , charged quickly , lots of torque, I use it in my Mobile Automotive business.Little concerned about the battery charger not charging batteries properly. Also the forward reverse switch seems too loose. See what happens as I use it on the road.
