I ordered the Maxshine Universal Hex Grip Wax Applicator for my husband, who is one of those guys that truly enjoys detailing cars. He found that the hex grip performed as advertised, making the applicator comfortable to hold and allowing him to apply wax for extended periods without discomfort.However, due to its bulk, he faced some challenges reaching tighter areas, such as under the luggage racks of our SUVs and other small spaces. While the hex grip applicator does an excellent job of applying wax quickly and evenly, it’s not an overall solution. He needed to use a smaller, standard wax applicators for those hard-to-reach spots.On the plus side, he noted that it cleans up easily with just a little water and appears durable enough to handle multiple waxing jobs, making it worth the price.

This grip applicator makes applying wax 100x easier over using the ones that come with the wax you purchase. It's a large enough size to cover more area but not too big that you're losing control of how much wax is deposited.

I really like the design and feel of the Hex Grip Wax Applicator. It's very lightweight and the built in grip is comfortable to hold. It spreads wax and polish easily without scratching the paint surface, and keeps your hands clean in the process. It works very well on both large and small surfaces making it an excellent choice for detailing your vehicle.

Finally got around to using this yesterday as the weather hasn't allowed before. This thing is knarly. Most applicators require you to press down with your four fingers with your thumb on the opposite side holding. This slowly fatigues your fingers as you are constantly pressing down with them. It also creates uneven application of product as your fingers are where the high pressure is. With this you grab a forgivable foam handle on top in a more natural grip. My hand never got tired. The foam "handle" is mated with another piece of more soft foam for application of product to your car. The soft foam contours to any body lines easily. It also evens the pressure out, which again prevents fatigue on your fingers/hand. I used it to apply detailer to my car. I will get another one to apply a even ceramic coat. Nice product/tool!

I wanted to try this for small jobs where I wouldn't grab an electric unit and for convenience. I ended up using this to touch of a few swirl marks on my hood and also used it to polish my headlights. As long as you make sure to prep the surfaces well, you can expect to get decent results without making a huge mess. I would still recommend an electric unit for big jobs, but this served it's purpose well for what I needed it for. Be sure to clean thoroughly after you're done so that it lasts for several applications. Overall a good value for the money!

I just finished waxing my car and the finish came out wonderful. This applicator took a little bit of water (per the instructions) and didn’t consume a large amount of wax to be properly loaded. The pad didn’t separate from the handle and the contours worked great for getting into the various nooks of my car. I’m completely sold and will be buying a few more for other compounds I don’t want to mix with wax.In the past I’ve used basic applicators, which work fine. They have a few downsides such as being hard to hold and making my hand cramp. This is much much nicer overall and makes a relaxing activity all the better.

Back in my early 20’s I washed cars for a living. I’ve washed and waxed hundreds of cars in my life so feel confident to comment. I love this little waxer. I wash and wax my personal cars these days and even a couple of road bicycles. This little pad is perfect. It feels great in your hand and it is a natural motion to swirl wax on and off holding this pad. It does a great job with the A-pillars that go up by front windshield and around door handles and the rear hatch area. A lot of pads you have to push your fingers into the pad to actually apply the wax. This pad is much easier to hold. For the car lover that just wants to keep his families cars waxed a couple times a year I would recommend.
