This is such a useful pattern for growing boys! Many variations in a good range of sizes. I would say very easy makes, but then I am a retired dressmaker. When also using an overlocker in the right places, they also look like good store bought garments!

After a disappointing experience with a free hand a shorts pattern for my kids, I decided to give the "Style D" pattern a shot, and I couldn't be happier. As a complete novice to clothing patterns, I was initially apprehensive but found it surprisingly easy to follow, especially after watching a few YouTube tutorials on pattern reading. The shorts turned out great, and the best part was letting my kids choose their favorite fabrics from the store; I stuck with cotton because it's what I'm comfortable working with and offers a wide range of patterns. While the cotton fabric does require a good ironing to stay wrinkle-free, I even think this pattern could be adapted for bedtime use. Overall, I'm super pleased with the results and highly recommend this pattern to fellow sewing enthusiasts.As a side note the shorts work great for my daughter as well, it's nice to have a pair of shorts that go to the knees.

décidément j'ai un penchant pour les patrons en anglais. Sur le patron à découper nous retrouvons les termes en français par contre la notice explicative est en anglais et espagnol mais la multitudes de dessins rend ce patron facile à utiliser (surtout avec un bon lexique de couture anglais/français trouvé sur internet). le modèle est simple et on peut le démultiplier à souhait. très bon achat, je recommande même pour les débutantes en plus livré rapidement

The shorts offered here in the pattern only had one pocket. My son wanted two after it was all complete. He said it was missing something. The pattern was kind of easy. I have sewn 5 shirts before these shorts. I ended up making a size 8 shorts for my older son and he is 8. It fit him perfectly. My five year old can grow into them.
