This caxixi is huge. Also, it is filled with plastic beads, so agree with other reviewer who said it sounds like a toy rattle. Best thing going for this is that it was constructed poorly enough that I was able to take it apart, resoak the grass and rebuild it to be what I needed (paired w/ berimbau). Coconut bottom is really nice.

It has a nice sound, well made with detail but it's the double of the size i expected wich to play berimbau becomes a bit unconfortable.but it's a nice product.

I ordered 2 on separate occasions - last ones available. The second one was packed with a cast iron hibachi - no padding around it! Snug in the box and the handle was somewhat bent. Since these are wicker, I couldn't see what or where strands were cracked. The sound is not badly affected though I have to hold the shaker at an angle and will probably put some glue in where the handle is attached. Amazon was terrific in responding with a refund and I was able to keep the shaker! Customer service A+

This is a lovely product with two main sounds...against the basket and 'coconut shell' base giving good variety.Very easy to use and loud enough acoustically

Very nice shaker. Works great as a pair, the sound is crisp and it is very light which allows for more versatility.
