I've always wanted one of those dustpans that the Janitors used when I was in School. This one is a little smaller than the commercial sized ones, but it works just fine. I'll never have to buy another dust pan again.

This dust pan is very well made for the money. However, the manufacturer applied a white sticker across the middle of the reservoir that has very strong adhesive. If you leave the sticker on, then it will turn brown and nasty very quickly from the debris swept into it. If you remove it, the adhesive will catch the debris and take on a very nasty appearance as well. So, sadly, a 4 or 5 star item was turned into a useless 1 star item by simply applying a sticker by the manufacturer. Find a similar pan without a sticker.

This is an excellent dustpan - it's sturdy, but not heavy at all. Meets all the key requirements in that the edge meets the floor perfectly, and is not too thick to sweep dust in the pan. It pairs well with medium size brooms and larger size brush. The only reason I've dropped a star is because it came with a sticker right on the front (where you sweep the dust into)!?! I've tried to remove it but see that it will leave a sticky residue. One day I'll get it off, but feel like the sticker was an unnecessary addition that could have been placed anywhere else on the pan without issues.

Nice, heavy duty old-school dustpan. Stamped steel with heavy steel wire handle riveted to pan body. Nice black (enamel?) finish. Easy label removal: Place dustpan face-up on a hot stove for a few (3-4) seconds. Label adhesive will melt, and label peels right off. Quickly clean any residual adhesive with a little nail polish remover.

Love that it is metal and not plastic which is better for zero waste / environment. However, dust and debris get trapped in handle attachment area.

Great dustpan! It has been perfect in the shop and for the fireplace.

I functionally live in a hole in the ground. It's not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor -sadly- is it some manner of hole that means comfort. It's really more of a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat, which is to say that it's a basement apartment that's been routinely rented to college students. As a result of this, dust, cobwebs, and bits of the eternally flaking walls that my landlord has earnestly tried in vain to fix all end up on my spartan wood or tile floors, and I have to sweep things fairly regularly. Like most people acclimated to student living, I used to carry out this task with the cheapest plastic dust pan I could find in the grocery store. This resulted in me stepping on multiple dust pans and breaking them and being just generally dissatisfied by my dust pan experiences. After going through about three different plastic ones, I chose to invest in something a little more hefty, and I've been very pleased with the results. This thing is large, easy to clean, and immune to my clumsy tendency to stumble into it. It's edge seems to meet the floor more effectively than plastic pans with a weird rubbery strip, and it just generally feels satisfying to use.

This is an old fashioned design, but one that has lasted the passage of time. Most modern dust pans have some plastic edge on them that becomes dented of just falls off thus rendering the dust pan useless. But the edge of this particular dust pan part of the pan and not a separate attachment. This is an inheritance product that will outlive you.
