Had absolutely no problems with these. Put them on my 1995 Toyota Tacoma. I noticed another reviewer stating that these struts are "longer" than the originals. That is not the case in my opinion. It's just that the used struts are "lazy" and no longer fully extend. One tip I will add regarding installation (on a Tacoma anyway) - disconnect the swaybar end link before installing the new strut. If you do not do this (or disconnect the upper ball joint), you will have a heckuva time getting the bottom of the strut mounted to the lower control arm.Ride is now firm and steady. I am pleased.

I purchased these for my 1998 Toyota Tacoma (4WD). The OEM struts have 253K on them. I do not off road and this is now a second vehicle so limited usage now. Thus I opted for a budget friendly option while trying to find a decent quality strut. I decided on Monroe based on the brand history and decent reviews. I ordered the rear shocks at the same time. The quality of these struts appear to be above the shocks by far. The only questionable item is the plastic spring spacer. A little worried about it for long term? Again, limited use on my part. I'll post a follow up after these have been on for a few weeks.

This is a great strut. They give my 1998 Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab 4x4 a solid ride at all speeds in all conditions. They are stiff/quick rebounding yet smooth. Overall I am very happy with them.

The prosThe price for these struts on Amazon compared to the part stores in town is much better. The feel of the struts after they were installed feels great. I put these on my 2002 4runner SR5 that had original Toyota Struts with 100k. Before I replaced the struts it felt like the truck nose dove during braking and when I ran over bumps in the road the suspension felt weak and bouncy. After I replaced the struts the whole feel of the truck changed. When I brake the front-end stays level with the rear and the suspension feels a lot stiffer. I noticed a really big change to how the truck feels in a good way.The ConsThe original Toyota struts have a place notched into the housing where the coil spring sits, the Monroe instead has a flat surface. Monroe supply's you with a plastic retainer that slides onto the strut and the coil spring sits on the plastic retainer. I found it very hard to keep the coil spring and this plastic retainer lined up correctly during installation. Second the strut is longer than the original Toyota struts. I have not noticed any problems with the extra length but it would be nice if the parts that go on the car look like the parts that come off.Last off make sure when you buy this or any struts also replace the strut mounts. They almost always are worn out and usually don't cost much extra.

No complaints, rides firm but not harsh, recommended. Vehicle use for commuting, minor off road use and then driven gently. I recommend this product.
