There are clearly defects with this item. I replaced it with a good gasket and the item never stopped leaking. I had to put the original on back on. This item is cheap and poorly made. Don't buy.

I used this to replace a non-defective thermostat housing, just because I was changing out the thermostat anyway. Mating surface is smooth & the install was very easy with a Felpro gasket & no RTV. Works like it should. Good value for the money. We'll see if it holds up. Cherokees run HOT!

Per the MotoRad.com this part is made from steel. Upon receipt I was surprised by the product being a non steel alloy. Item is no stronger than the cheap aluminum versions everyone else sells. Huge disappointment. Beware of this company and it's claims. Clearly they say anything to get in your wallet. Sad deceptive business practices.

This was not the least expensive thermostat housing on Amazon for my 95 Wrangler 2.5L it was the second least expensive. After looking around and checking other online parts stores, and also checking local auto parts stores, I decided to purchase this from Amazon. Why? well, it is the EXACT same part that is sold by a local parts store. The box is different and so is the price. The one from the local "zone" store carries a price of more than $21! Even the same stock number, just changed the brand on the box. Wow! Anyway it fit perfectly and comes with a gasket. appears to be well made also. should last for quite awhile. I absolutely recommend this item.

Just a nice as OEM. Saw a few plastic ones online, this one seems far nicer. Went on very easily and the gasket works well.
