I have only had it for a day but it is working good. When I had Spectrum hardware I was getting speeds of 105 to 110 Mbps now I am getting 117 to 120 mbps. With spectrum my WiFi would cut out at the garage door now I get halfway through it ( I have a big garage). I am happy with it.I did have 1 issue with it the user name and password was never reset on it so at first I could not log in but I just reset to factory default and everything is good.

I wasn’t too sure about buying this product because of the many bad reviews but I wanted to find out for my self and I can’t comprehend why so many bad reviews because this product is simply AMAZING, my speed and coverage is different as day and night compared to when I didn’t have it..... I recommend this wi-fi/modem combo 1000%...... don’t pay attention to all those bad reviews cause now I know I did the right thing by not depending on them to make my decision. Thanks!!!

Out of the box, it worked great. I programmed the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks and began connecting devices. Day 2 and the 2.4GHz network disappeared. I went on the control panel and the 5 GHz network did not show in configurations. That's right, the only network I could configure was the one that wasn't working. Any changes I made would not save however. Also, any time I moved to another page in the web interface, I had to put in the credentials again. Finally I just power cycled it. This began a constant boot loop. The reset procedure is about what you expect, put a pin in the hole where the reset button is. Except the pin slips easily off the button and the directions say to hold it for "up to 30 seconds". It doesn't even tell you what to look for when resetting, just hold it for "up to 30 seconds" and guess when it's ready... I have not yet been able to reset it properly. I will be returning this garbage and will not be buying a Netgear again.

I wanted to get a router so I could stop renting from the ISP. When I got this one the instructions were very clear on how to set it up. Hook it up, call your ISP to register it, go to the Netgear website and set it up. It worked great, for 24 hours. Then it just stopped and I had to call NG to find out why and my ISP said everything was working on their side. NG had me try so many things over and over and over again, unplug it - plug it back in, hit the restart button, hit the wifi button. Finally after an hour of being on the phone they decided I needed to be sent a new one or that I contact Amazon and get a new one. Returns with Amazon are now not very easy as a UPS store is 30-40 minutes from me. They also wanted me to try numerous things I already had to see if it didn't really work. After 30 more minutes they were sending me a new one out on their next day shipping (which I really like). Went through the same steps as two days before and well this is day 5 and it seems to still be working. Everyone I had talked to that asked which router I had was impressed with the Nighthawk and surprised I had issues with one. SO maybe it was just my bad luck that I got the 1 in 1000 that was bad.Update: I now have my second one of these installed and I might just return the whole thing. This one keeps dropping the internet randomly all day long. So tired of things not working.

Once connected, this item did not work. I went to my Internet provider and they walked me through the set up. It did not work. I went to the manufacturer and they also went through the steps of resetting and it still did not work. The product was defective and had to be returned. This was a "renewed" item.

I purchased this modem/router to service the house I share with 7 other adults. Needless to say we have a lot of devices connected to the internet and plenty of use at any time of day. This modem/router has worked without problem for all of us across all our wireless devices: Xbox, Playstation, laptops, tablets, etc. The wifi range is fantastic with even the farthest reaches of of the house getting a signal. We even have wifi connectivity at the bus stop four houses down the block! If you have a big house and lots of devices this is the product you want. If you are looking for wifi in a small apartment it's definitely overkill.

I just got this cable modem/router today, about 20hrs after ordering (crazy fast). I wasn't sure about ordering a refurb, but I've had good luck with refurbs so far. Setup was included in the instructions, and it looks brand new. Packaging was top notch. Updating my xfinity account after changing out to this was painless, and only took 10-15 minutes. No phone calls needed in my case. I replaced a Netgear C6220, which got very hot, required reboots every day and just didn't have good coverage being in the basement of a 2 story home. The C7500 however, it seems to easily cover the weak spots of the old router. Upstairs (2 floors above the router), is still getting over 100Mbps. We have 200Mbps internet (actually about 230 via ethernet), so 100 is great and about all you can expect at distance and wifi being half duplex. Time will tell, but in limited time, I am 100% satisfied and would recommend this to anyone who wants better coverage.
