I’m very disappointed!! . This was given to me as a gift, and unfortunately, I took too long to set it up, so the return date has expired. The service is incredibly frustrating to use -videos freeze continuously, and when I try to watch games, the content shown is often not what was advertised. It’s misleading and unreliable. I wish I had set it up sooner so I could have returned it. Definitely not worth the frustration.

I have owned several of the older versions of Octastream and the product is good. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7. The product has a shelf life as you cannot really update the product past a couple of years of ownership. But 2 or 3 years of it working is certainly worth it for what you get in terms of available tv channels. On August 7th, 2024, I purchased the Octastream Elite for $359 through a company called: tvtech. I don't know if the business name makes any difference at this point, as they changed their name after my complaint. I purchased the Octastream Elite because of the free added tv and movie apps. I enjoyed those apps for about 3 days and then they vanished! I purchased a 3 year warranty for the product through Amazon. Amazon has been real good about making this situation right. When I filed the original complaint, the seller agreed to reload the apps onto the box and return it to me. I paid $28 to ship the box back to the seller. When the seller received the box back - he send me a note on the Amazon site that says he decided to issue a refund instead because it was 'easier on him'. The refund has come through, but now the seller has increased the price of the box to $399 - so now I am to pay $68 more for the exact same product that I returned because of the seller problem. I have all of this documented through the Amazon websight. I have all of the dialogue back and forth from the seller. I have told the seller that I am going to make this review if he doesn't sell me the box for the original price. I have also told the seller that I will be escalating my complaint through Amazon if this is not handled to my satisfaction. I will be happy to edit this review should the seller do the right thing - but if you are reading this - it probably hasn't been resolved. Overall, I like the Octastream product, but I would be careful using "tvtech" or now the new name "technological medical store".

Like the device, nice upgrade from the q-1,I gave 4 stars , because it didn’t come with operating instructions, setup is similar to the q-1 so it was easy for me,being familiar enough with the system, though an instruction manual is something I think is needed, I will say this version’s,speed ,performance, and picture quality is very good…

Operating the system takes time to get used to. It feels clunky. But it’s worth the chance to take. The standard remote control that comes with it straight garbage you need to buy a mini handheld keyboard. They are cheap but decent quality. Operating the octastream with the Rii x8 mini keyboard night and day difference. The trick to the tv channels is saving the channels you like to your favorites

This product almost seems too good to be true—I’m genuinely wondering how it’s even legal! The OctaStream Elite Max has completely transformed my viewing experience by giving me FREE access to movies, live TV, sports, and so much more. It’s like having a mini entertainment empire right in my living room! Now, I will say that the remote could use a little TLC; it’s not exactly winning any operating awards. And since it’s a streaming device, there’s some buffering from time to time, but honestly, that’s a small price to pay for the treasure trove of content available. The quality of the streams is fantastic, and I’ve had no issues with the actual content itself—it’s all top-notch!If you’re looking to ditch your subscriptions and cut the cable cord, this device is the way to go. Just a heads-up, though: there is a bit of a learning curve involved. If you’re not particularly tech-savvy or don’t have a ton of patience, this might not be the right fit for you. But if you’re willing to dive in, the rewards are well worth it! Get ready to enjoy endless entertainment without breaking the bank!

Love it. Instructions are very limited but you just need to jump in and figure it out. I can’t believe all the channels you get. Every NFL game including the Thursday night Amazon games. All the movie channels and cable network channels plus so so so much more. Worth every penny, it’s crazy that this isn’t banned for all the networks not getting their $. The quality is amazing too. Elite is the latest greatest version versus the older models. Love it!

Do not buy this product! It states that there are "14 premium apps" - that is not true, period.I was happy with this box at the begining but as many other buyers very disappointed how this "superbox" consistantly disabilibg or deleting many apps / channels it advertised and it is the reason many people bought it for. When the best apps / channels disappeared or disabled and it is VERY disappointing because not much to watch anymore.Once a year they come up with new versions like 3, 4, 5 and limited or completely disable apps for old boxes so it forces people to buy a new box every year or spent $400 once a year!Good luck to return the useless box after only 30 days of using - they have almost "$80 restocking fees" plus most of sellers have ZERO phone or email support, period.Do not buy the box or you will be as disappointed as many other people.
