Although it's just been installed, this pump has features that seem to be much better than other solar pumps in this price range. The internal battery powers the bubbler even at night and the pump itself is stated as being rainproof. Never had these features with other pumps over the years. Easy set up too. Very happy with my purchase.

Worked great for one year. Now we’re in year two and it won’t hold a charge for more than a few minutes and has become very noisy.

Bought this aerator because I accidentally created a pond out of a water trough and then started to have tadpoles and a host of other critters filling out the ecosystem. I bought this to keep it aerated and the algea to a minimum. This little pump worked great and seemed to keep a stead charge; even on cloudy days.

I had originally purchased this as an aerator for my chickens water so that way it would not freeze. I was looking for a solar option and when I tested it indoors, it worked perfectly fine, but it was not able to keep up with zone 4B temperatures. If it ran at all, it would only run for 30 minutes. A court working when temperatures got to about 30° to 25° I’m honestly super bummed that this did not work. It was not very noisy an affordable price and a compact size.

Initially it took some time before I was able to set it up, but once I decided it was no fuss.What I like: easy to assemble, adequate equipment for the task, works even in the early morning hours 02:30am. Haven’t been up later in the mornings to validate more. Update: 03 August 2024 @05:37 early in the morning check, the battery level was still on four bars with the function set to pulse at 10/10 seconds. No issues in performance still. Working consistently for over a month.What I don’t like: During my assembly of the solar panel I tried adjusting before loosing the locking knob and I was amazed of how easily the panel separated from the base. Fortunately that wasn’t a setback because it was reattached with silicone and hasn’t been a problem.The panel and base maybe the weakest part of the product.Conclusion: a reliable product up to now. Does what’s intended for. As this is summer I shall see how it goes for winter. Pump noise level adequate and air volume good, money value worthwhile.Additional findings be sure to check your pump after a good rain fall, my unit had some water that I drain by holding it straight up, not level. The pump never stopped working, but water ingress is possible. This can be corrected easily, heavy grease or silicone around the seam. Pretty much anything that will stop water entering the over lapping parts.This is my final update, my pump has stopped building air flow since early October 2024. It’s still running but not doing any work!The lifespan may or will disappoint you.
