NICHE PISTON

An ATV piston is a component of engines, pumps, and gas compressors. It is located in a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings. In an engine, its purpose is to transfer force from expanding gas in the cylinder to the crankshaft through a piston rod and or connecting rod

Piston Anatomy

A piston is a cylindrical engine component that slides back and forth in the cylinder bore by forces produced during the combustion process. The piston acts as a movable end of the combustion chamber. The stationary end of the combustion chamber is the cylinder head.

Piston Components

ATV Piston components include the piston head, piston pin bore, piston pin, skirt, ring grooves, ring lands, and piston rings. The piston head is the top surface of the piston which is subjected to tremendous forces and heat during normal engine operation

It works but how long will it last???This got my atv started it’s kinda loud makes a ping noises sometimes idk if it’s my mix or poor quality bearing only time will tell I’m not taking it apart until it dies again.I ordered a 2nd to have on handPiston DONE Aug 29 so abt a month it lasted.it had problems since the start sound like piston slap with same brand sleeve I didn’t replace that it was already done when I bought it so these only pistons only have a short14hr lifespan when I researched this productguess it’s time for another brand complete top end

You can almost certainly tell who knows what they’re doing, and who doesn’t by the reviews left for this product. I’ve purchased this companies pistons on many other occasions, for Rotax two stroke engines to four stroke equipment/machinery engines. The quality is easily OE, possibly better in some instances . This company is actually an OE for many different engine companies. A little bit of research would’ve told people that. Since you can’t post your skill level when submitting a review for particular product, you can only help but to think that a lot of the negative reviews were of course user error or installer error. It happens more than anyone whatever care to admit, but this is a good product. I’ve had no issues with the piston. It’s had strong compression on a moldy ported jug. There is nothing wrong with the quality, the specs are identical within .0001 inch to a new standard bore uncoated Polaris piston. The rings have the perfect amount of attention. They’re not brittle or weak as some have mentioned, use the right tool to expand the rings, not you meat puppet fingers, they’re top side stamped, chrome faced standard rings. Will continue to purchase this companies pistons and rings for my powersports and ag machines when the need arises.

This is my second time using the Piston and rings for a completely different Polaris trailblazer and I have to say that the first one is still running with out any problems.once again, set the proper ring gap and polish the sharp points of the Piston and I don't think you could have any problems with this product at all.
