Rock solid, its a beast. Look up the dimensions, its hard to visualize with just the picture on a white back ground, they all look the same size :)

This thing is built like a tank. Super easy to use & adjust. However if you're using it mounted horizontally & have it extended it may want to come loose if the surface is irregular at all. This is simply due to its sheer size. It becomes a bit top heavy in those situations & can overcome the magnet. But if the surface is machined or just pretty even this isn't a problem.

This mag base has the best clamp for the joint of it's kind. I've even started using this mag base instead of my articulating Noga arm because it locks up so well. Only downside is you can be limited in your setup without the fine adjustment at the top. Magnet is plenty strong.

Excellent magbase. Powerful hold. Easy adjustments. This base is great for higher resolution indicators. I use it for a 1 micron comparator and measurements repeat beautifully.

After buying 2 other cheaper imports I decided to go ahead and invest a few more dollars into this one. Glad I did. It is very well built and heavy duty mag base. Would highly recommend this gem.

I was having trouble using my smaller old antique magnetic bases and indicators on bigger equipment with more complicated setups. The NOGA is extremely quick to set up with any of my indicators. The clamping knob is much better than the old knurled thumb wheels on my old stuff, since the large diameter and rounded edges make it easy to clamp without using a lot of force.Once clamped it feels very rigid. The bars are hollow, but the large diameter makes them much stiffer and lighter than 1/4" or 3/8" solid bars. I currently just have one, but I'm going to buy a few more for every machine.
