The plants love it. Light is a very bright white. A little harsh if nearby; mine is lighting African Violet babies on my desk at work. I keep files in front of it to block it from my eyes.

It does not get hot. It has provided even light. Promoted growth. It's well worth the money. And is a natural looking light. I grow some very exotic plants and needed extra light. I bought 2 lights and just stuck them in some cheap walmart desk lamps. My plants have stopped turning towards the windows. They are growing full with much bigger leaves. Lots of new growth. Definatly recommended.

I have had this light for over a year now and have been growing high light loving orchids and some other rare plants with great success. The bulb is powerful, I get approximately 800 FCs ~30-36" from the bulb (while not the most accurate measurement for an LED it offers some perspective). In a few cases the light has been to intense for some orchids too close but like all LEDs, move them away a bit and they thrive. The spectrum is pleasing to the eye and seems to have a high CRI rating. Heat has not been a problem even in the terrarium. I have started using it on a large 36" deep terrarium growing Masdevallia orchids and some other plants and have had great results too. The bulb looks sleek and is of solid build. Price wise it is expensive but with the results I have had I will pay it again. definitely recommend this bulb. If you keep terrariums its definitly a great bulb and would work well for small vivariums too.

Arrived quickly and packed well. Working great already to light a really dark corner of a room where I've always wanted to have houseplants but could never grow. What a difference! I like that this bulb doesn't seem to get too hot after running a long time. The light is also very white and natural -- bright enough to comfortably light the whole area. I'd give it 5 stars just for that alone and can't wait so to have happy houseplants in that corner for once!
