I installed this and my car hasn't worked in months. Before I even started my car it would say the coolant temp was 150°f and the head temp would say 250°f. Me not thinking it was the brand new part I installed, started replacing other parts until I finally got a new cht sensor from the dealer an the car was fine after that. Just don't buy this crap.

As every other review says, mine was defective as well. doesn't work in the slightest. I'll have to replace it again.

Save yourself time and money, and just go get an OEM sensor from the dealer. Read all the reviews, common issue is that this sensor will peg your gauge to the HOT, indicates false overheat temp information throwing the ecm into limp mode. DO NOT BUY THIS. Cheaply made, does not meet oem specs or standards. I guess you get what you pay for.

I should have read the reviews on this sensor. Wasted time installing it just for the temp gauge to peg out on hot when the car wasn't actually overheating. Save time and money in the long run and buy a quality part. This was the cheapest one I could find and now I have to change it again. Junk part.

My son and I spent nine months building an engine on his 2002 F150 5.4 L. I had purchased two of these sensors. From day one when we started the engine, the temp sensor said it was overheating.I end up replacing the entire cooling system, then replace the sensor again with the spare that I bought. It overheated again and again. Or at least I thought it was overheating. After going back and replacing additional parts again, it overheated. After wrapping my brain around everything we replaced and every upgrade we could think of. I went back to my local auto parts store and bought a Duralast sensor which cost $32 plus tax. Remove this sensor and installed the new one. What do you know the temperature didn’t overheat any longer the truck ran perfectly. I am so disappointed with all the anger, pain, blood, and frustration. I cannot recommend it more. Do not buy this product! If the maker of this product reads this, you’re more than welcome to email me and I will forward you photos of my arms bruised and send you the receipts of all the replacement upgraded parts. I didn’t need to make.

Ordered this part as a precaution when we were doing engine work. After running engine it was causing PCM to see over temp. Went though much work to find problem. Finally used infrared heat gun and thoroughly checked temps everywhere on engine, hoses and radiator. All was normal. Reinstalled original CHT sensor and no longer had issue. New part is defective. Ordered part 8/16/22. Return window closed 8/21/22? I would not order this unreliable part.
