As my car is an 86 i doubt that i will be replacing the distributor again, but i like the design of this one better than the original as the pickup coil can be replace without removing the entire distributor assembly. I could have replace the defective parts but that would have meant completely disassembling the distributor. As this was a complete assembly, all i had to do was remove the old one and drop the new one in and retime the engine
