I got this skid plate because I liked the look of it and wanted to throw it on the front of my Wrangler thinking it might help me keep trail debris from stabbing into anything important, and it has worked well! Left it in a box for about 6 months before I got around to installing it, which wasn't the best idea. When I finally got around to it I realized I had a skid plate for a newer generation Wrangler that would not bolt directly up to my 2007. No real problem though as I have a good bit of machine tools at the place where I work. I bent up a couple of steel brackets that I could adapt from my frame to the mounting points on the skid plate and it went together just fine with those. It's really sturdy, and a heavy gauge metal. The black coating on it is very durable and I've had no scratches or chips in it yet and it has bashed a few things. It was a really good price and I'm sure assembly and installation would have been super quick if I had gotten the one for the correct vehicle, but that's my fault. I couldn't be happier with the end result, it looks great and functions perfectly.

Put this on my Gladiator after I replaced the factory bumper. Fit great and was much durable than the original piece or tin they had used from the factory! Very simple installation!

Right side bracket didn't line up with skid plate. Matches my bumper perfectly.
