I ordered this so I didn't have to bring big bulky stands to gigs. Its convenient and small, However there is a design flaw. The back portion of this stand holds the guitar great, The front portion, however - not so great. The way the angle is causes the front guitar to lean further back on an angle, so it basically balances off my other guitars neck - Not a problem with only one guitar in the stand, but Just be aware of it. If they straightened the brace behind the first guitar out this would be perfect.

Excellent! This is a STURDY guitar stand. I have owned one for over 20 years and decided to add 3 more stands for my other guitars. The 'newer' model is made to the same exacting standards and the sturdiness and ease-of-use are still present. No tipping over, no wobbling when you pickup your instrument or place it down. When I went to buy these 3 I immediately checked out the label on my 20+ year old stand. Well worth the money and they do last forever!

I already own this same stand which I bought 2 years ago. I wanted to purchase another one because I liked it so much. It takes up the least amount of floor space for two guitars. It is very sturdy and folds flat in one second. Portable, but not compact enough to fit in a bag.Only problem is that this new one that I am reviewing is slightly different than the exact same model I purchased two years ago: the old one was a little bigger. It opened up about 3/4" wider at the base of the A frame. Also, the yokes that hold the rear guitar are now closer to the front guitar than on the older model, so they require bending to accommodate your second (rear) guitar. This new model is still good, still very strong and sturdy, but it is a little bit smaller. They must be saving pennies by doing this. It's still a great stand so I won't return it, and I do return things often if I'm not satisfied with them.

I like this a lot since I planned on getting an acoustic after having my electric Ibanez picked out and delivered (from Amazon also), I knew that I would need to store them both somewhere. This rack is simple, sturdy and maintains them both in a small space if you need to be conservative on that aspect. I is a matte finish so it looks clean and the foam covered metal bars are both durable and safe for your Axes. Great product!!

great stand! holds both my basses, it's compact and lightweight, yet sturdy. excellent choice for the gigging musician who prefers to bring a second or backup instrument to the gig.**2024 Update: i wrote the review above in 2012, and I would like to add that I have had this stand now for 12 years, and it is still my favorite, go-to stand that I bring to every gig. I have never had any issues with it, it works perfectly every time, and if it fell out of the back of my van and got run over, I would go back and get it because it would probably still work just fine.If you need a double stand for yur basses or guitars, I can’t recommend anything bettere.

Nice, simple guitar stand. I bought this to replace a typical tripod guitar stand with a padded C-shape cradle for the guitar neck. The cradle piece was connected to the body of the stand with a crappy spot weld, which broke when a cat knocked the stand (and my guitar) over. This design is better in a couple of ways.First, it doesn't touch the neck of your guitar at all. It has a padded, high-friction top that you rest the back of the body of the primary guitar against. There's a large contact area with the back support and with the cradle, which does a good job of keeping the guitar from tipping over sideways. The fact that it doesn't have to reach up and support the neck keeps the center of mass of the stand very low, making it more stable.Second, Instead of a tripod, it has a quadrilateral base, which makes it stable in more directions. The feet of the stand are also provided by 2 bars that lay more or less flat on the ground, which also contributes to a low center of mass. With a tripod, if you cut off the top, and only have the feet structure, your center of mass is already up off the ground. The construction is very solid, and my girlfriend's cats haven't managed to knock it over in the months since I got it. I anticipate I'll be using this stand for a very long time. One issue people seem to run into is that if your primary guitar has a very angled back headstock, it can interfere with the secondary guitar, but you can bend the rear supports a bit to compensate, which I'd rather do than go back to a tripod.

I purchased this product for my bass guitars and found that it was not the right product for me.For the front stand, the distance from the arms (that support the body) to the top of the a-frame (which supports the neck) is too far. The A Frame leans away from the arms and the arms are pretty long. As a result, both the acoustic and the electric leaned too much for my comfort. Both sat at an angle of about 60 degrees (relative to the floor), instead of the 85 degrees that would be almost perpendicular to the floor. Since they leaned so much, I was concerned that they would lack stability and fall over. The acoustic, because it has no weight in the body, fell once I let go of the neck. The back stand was very narrow both front-to-back and side-to-side. Neither the neck, nor the body had any space between the supports and the guitar. Even the knobs rubbed against the supporting arms. The strings rubbed against the a-frame. It leaned at an acceptable angle, but there was no room for my electric bass guitar. It does not appear to have any adjustments to remedy these issues.I liked the idea of this stand, but the execution did not work for my guitars. I think if the back arms were longer and slightly more apart and the front arms were shorter, that the product might have worked for my equipment. I gave the product an extra star for good workmanship and padding.Acoustic: Carlos Robelli 4 stringElectric: Washburn 5 string
