I'm quite disappointed by this product. I will use adapter 16 on my wife's 2014 Volkswagen Passat with the 1.8 TSI engine. What I think is called the EA888 Gen. 3 engine. Mainly because getting an funnel into the oil fill hole is a real problem, due to the small size and non-circular shape. I will use my old funnel, which has a cover to keep dust and debris out. I may make an adapter from that funnel to the OMT 16 adapter. The OMT funnel would be a real pain to clean, due to a rough internal surface. I think it should come with caps for the top and bottom ends to keep oil in and dust out. The part number for the oil fill cap on the VW is 06K103485A.While I would never use the supplied air regulator to pressurize the crankcase, I don't think the adapter would be sufficiently air-tight to make this advisable.I may use adapter 11 on my 2013 Ford Edge 3.5, adapters 11 and 12 both "sort of" fit, again neither would be air-tight.I may revise this review following my next oil changes, in late May 2025 for the VW, in late fall 2025 for the Ford.

A nice set. It worked for my Ford and Chevy cars and trucks. Looks like it will be stable for quick oil changes. Improvements would include: a color code chart to understand what it really fits (years and makes); a lid and bottom cap for the funnel to keep it clean inside and keep it from dripping in the storage case.

The kit had diverse adaptors, but because of the limited domestic applications we tried them on in our shop, the few we tried out seemed to fit well enough. The kit's angled adaptor also worked well enough to accommodate oil filler ports that were already on an angle so as to keep the funnel straight & reduced spillage, so we liked that aspect. But something like this is just another big box that you have to find room for, which is a big deal in an already crammed tool box or cabinet. A technician who does lots of oil servicing on multiple makes & models might best be suited for a kit like this. A general tech might see it as a gimmick versus having just a couple of suitably sized funnels to do the job.The crankcase pressure/air induction feature was useful however, and came into real world use in 2 applications. The first was to pressurise the crankcase to validate the leak at the rear of the engine that was not visually accessible (even with a mirror) but the use of the open hose end of a mechanic's stethoscope did confirm a leak from the audible hiss detected. The second was to prove out the repair to a crankcase pressure sensor, which has become a more common emissions feature in recent years. Very little pressure is required to simulate crankcase pressure sensor signal, so this tool was used to validate a sensor repair. The tool's regulator worked well enough in this respect. So in a nutshell, the kit has a lot of stuff which does impose a demand on space to store it. May not be practical for every tech, but has its merits if you need the diversity of the varied fittings. The ability to induce crankcase pressure was the feature we found was practical for us. Not an every day need, but was practical and useful when we did need it.

Half the adaptors don’t fit any car I’ve come across. Works well enough if you don’t have to adapt

So helpful and convenient! I work at an oil change station and this is used daily by all the employees. Much better than trying to balance a regular funnel in shallow crankcases.

I was skeptical on how well this would work being that it's a knock off version. It worked well and was easier to change oil due to the reservoir style funnel head and didn't make a mess due to over fill funnel or leaking out around one side fits all old school funnel I used in the past. Would be a 5 star but when I wiped down the funnel with cleaner some lint stuck to the funnel

Was a bit skeptical when I opened up the box, the adapters felt cheap. But I've since put them to the test and have proven to be good quality. The adapters fit most vehicles. I monitor the for any spillage/seepage while filling oil, and has been a perfect seal so far.

Great set for the DIYer with several different cars or for shop use. You can save quite a bit of money by changing your own oil. If you're like me and don't trust most lube techs to even check your tire pressure, this set will make your service easier. Spilling oil onto your engine causes dirt to collect and may soften rubber parts so these funnels ensure that the oil goes where it should. Many engines have a baffle plate just below the oil filler which prevents full insertion of a funnel neck into the filler tube. This OMT system screws down snugly so you can pour those 5 quart jugs steadily and quickly with both hands.I have used it on Toyota V6, Subaru Boxer, and Chevy 6.0 engines. A single dedicated oil funnel is over $20.00 and their threads appear brittle compared this OMT. I laminated both sides of the instruction sheet and electro-penciled each of the eight adapters and storage case locations for future reference. The fit list is not fully updated so you may have to do some research on your filler cap size to see if it's compatible with this set. Regular oil changes are the best way to extend your engine's life. This thirteen year old Toyota engine has almost 250,000 miles and the valvetrain looks new and runs great.
