This worked great! I used this kit a few years ago on my D-6E’s that are 30 years old now. At the time Vega wanted about $130 a piece to rebuild a woofer. This took me a few hours to complete the work and I gave them a day or two on the glue just to make sure. They are still holding up great and I put power to them when no else is home. This isn’t hard, just take your time and use the money you saved for some new albums.

Got the parts withing a reasonable time. Instructions were good. I had trouble with one of the speakers that I put on wrong. The instructions indicated to place a spacer at 12, 5, and 7 o'clock. On the second speaker I placed the spacers all the way around, and it turned out good. Also the dust covers were too small. I wrote to the parts express and was told it was my own fault for not specifying when ordering.

I have a pair of the cerwin vega E-712's I got from the city off of craigslist and I refoamed them after taking off the old pieces of foam then sanded the metal part and I used my finger nails to get off the foam from paper cone then I glued the foam surround to paper then the foam to aluminum then waited till got tacky then put in place and then waited a few minutes then put glue on the outer plastic gaurd then poked holes for screws threw the foam after I did this I waited a half hour tryed them out and they are best speakers I've ever had they sound great if I heard them when they were new I bet they sound like new 500 $ for each speaker new I got for 80$ for the pair and then put 30$ kit into them and I wouldn't sell em for a grand I'm keeping them they are beasts for rap reggae hip hop loud as hell for rock and metal I have to turn down the bass a little bit I'm using two b&k st 140 mono blocks to run them each and have b&ks sonata series preamp I'm using thease alot and the surrounds look great they are double layered black on inside red on outside

I thought I would have to replace my woofers until I discovered this kit. The instructions were easy to follow and the kit contained everything I needed. Sounds like new!
