Bought a Beetle with this kit installed and was told they had never been able to get it running. They gave up and sold me the car...I have spent hours chasing a fuel issue and after replacing the entire fuel system and the issue not being resolved I hooked a timing light the the wire from the coil to the distributor expecting to see a solid 'on' light only to watch the light blink in time with the engines misfire.I've now had 3 people look at this thing and all 3 people came up with the same conclusion...the ignition module is junk...I'm just hoping the lobes on the distributor shaft are ground correctly as I'm putting Bosch points and condensor in it and going to hope that fixes it. If that doesn't correct it all this junk is coming out and I'll go to a junkyard and find a decent OEM distributor, order the bosch points, condenser, wires, plugs, and coil and drop this kit in the garbage (I've already tossed the gimick Accuspark plugs for a set of NGK's that I've had to clean up twice and will probably have to replace once it's firing reliably)
