The Phenyx PTA-WDS5 pop filter is a great choice, especially considering how budget-friendly it is. The foam cover fits the Phenyx PWH-7 Handheld Mic just perfectly—it's well made, and you could tell it was made for the Phenyx Pro mics.In terms of sound quality, I didn’t notice any significant muffling or drop in audio clarity when I used the filter. It does a wonderful job at reducing pops without hindering the overall sound quality, which is essential for keeping your sound clear and professional.Considering its amazing performance and reasonable price, the Phenyx PTA-WDS5 pop filter truly offers great value. It is a wonderful option for anyone in need of a reliable pop filter on a budget. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone using the PWH-7 mic or other Phenyx Pro mics of that style.

The Phenyx PTA-WDS5 pop filter is an outstanding option considering its affordable price point. When it arrives, the pop filter is packaged in a compressed form, which seems to be done to save on shipping space. While this initially makes the filter appear deformed, I found that restoring it to its original shape was a simple task. I ran warm water over it and gently squeezed out the excess moisture using paper towels. Within a few minutes, the pop filter returned to its proper form and was ready for use.The foam cover fits the Phenyx PTU-52B Handheld Mic incredibly well—it’s snug and secure, providing a perfect fit that doesn’t slip off during use. This is important as it ensures the filter performs as intended without any disruptions.As for sound quality, I couldn’t detect any noticeable muffling or reduction in audio clarity when using the filter. It does an excellent job of eliminating plosives without negatively affecting the overall sound, which is crucial for maintaining clear and professional audio recordings.Given its excellent performance and low cost, the Phenyx PTA-WDS5 pop filter offers incredible value for the price. It provides the functionality of higher-end filters without the hefty price tag, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a reliable pop filter on a budget. I would highly recommend it to anyone using the PTU-52B mic or looking for an affordable pop filter in general.

I was asked to test and review the Phenyx Pro foam mic windscreens. All I can say is they do what they’re designed to do, they prevent the unwanted noises from being picked up by the mic.Quality:These foam mic covers are quite large and made of thick foam. I’d say they’d be best suited for large wireless handheld mics and not smaller wired mics like the Shure SM-58. I used the foam covers with the Phenyx Pro PDP-2 handheld mic and the covers fit easily and look nice.Value:The package comes with 5 foam covers individually sealed. I’d recommend taking them out of the package and let them sit for a couple days before use. This will give them time to expand and take shape. I did not wash the foam covers I received, but it’s also recommended you wash them in warm soapy water and let them air dry.Overall:These are a pack of 5 windscreens at a reasonable price. They do the job and are a great value.

These new windscreens fit the handheld wireless mics from Phenyx Pro much better than the old version that was being shipped last year. The fit is more snug, they seem to be a bit thicker, and they don't have that chemical smell. All around a big improvement!!

For what they are, I expect the price to be a little better. I have several wireless Phenyx mics and they fit perfectly. They come in a vaccum sealed bag though and are totally flattened, a couple had noticeable marks in the foam or deep indents. Once i managed to get them on the puffed back up. Will see after a while if the crease goes away. They work really well in reducing harsh P and S sounds and some wind noise. Great for our wedding gigs. Minus 2 stars for bad pa kaging and value for the price ratio.

One of these tore right out of the box. Thin material. You have to stretch and cover the mic slowly.

These Phenyx Pro 5-Pack Foam Mic Covers are exactly what I needed. The foam is thick and durable, offering excellent wind noise reduction without affecting sound clarity. Works well generically for standard vocal microphone. I used them on Shure mikes and stretched them to fit. These came flat and opened like a "pita" pocket. They're very substantial and will protect the microphone bell just fine. The foam is denser than the higher priced models I've used and promises to be more durable. This did not affect the sound at all.I received 5 in the packet will put them to use on two Shure vocal microphones and a Sennheiser cordless vocal mike.
