Meets my needs. The curved and flat sides give me some flexibility with awkward filings and the texture is big and gritty. Smooths out wood and even some of the metal edging I've used it on. It feels just as heavy and awesome as the one my father has and I always wanted one to match. Now I have it and it's identical to his 50 year old version, so this should last like his. Satisfaction achieved.

This is a versatile little tool with 4 different rasps/files. One side is flat and has a finer side or on end and a coarser side of the other. The other side is curved and also has a finer and coarser side. This lets you use one tool for several different purposes, rather than carrying around several different rasps or files. Only downside to this is that when you’re using it you won’t be able to grab onto a smooth handle but will have to hold on to one of file ends, which isn’t very comfortable. But if you wear gloves that could help mitigate that.I used it to chamfer the end of a board and it worked great. Seems to be well made.
