Low pressure return lines are manufactured using nitrile tube and oil-resistant synthetic rubber covers and factory-installed, pre-bent end fittings. For late model vehicles, Edelmann offers a special chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) tube with a temperature capacity of up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Mounting brackets are included where applicable to ensure a perfectly aligned, stable installation. If the OE utilizes a non-reusable feature, Edelmann duplicates that feature on its aftermarket product. Heat shields and convoluted sheathing designed to protect the hose are additional examples of Edelmann commitment to quality.

This is a basic rubber tube, nothing more, nothing less. I gave it all the stars because I needed it the next morning and it arrived before any local parts stores were open. Otherwise I would have picked it up locally and skipped online.

Molded hoses for the 350z's and G35's are stupid expensive. Using this hose (and not getting kinks) is very do-able. Replacing the dry rotting hoses was a gratifying part of the engine swap in my G35.

I bought this hose to replace a hose on my power steering. Perfect fit. No leak, no wear and tear. Have some more left and will use it for other hoses that are going bad in the home, outside and other hoses of it's size for vehicle use.

After replacing all of my power steering components on my 02 Tacoma V6, I realized that the return hoses were also in need to replacement (evidence of leaks from hardlines to hoses). Instead of replacing all the lines (hardlines + hoses) I opted to just replace the hoses of the return line. The high pressure line was ok.It turns out that this hose is a good match size wise (inner diameter was 3/8”) and as you can see from the photo, the OD was also close. More importantly, the inner and outer materials were the same. What you’ll notice is that the OEM factory Toyota hose calls out a Nitrile inside and Neoprene outside and this hose is the same. In addition this hose meets SAE J2502 power steering hose standard. After installing it on my truck, I haven’t seen any initial leaks that would lead me to believe that this was the wrong hose to use.

It's great, thick hose, it's just too stiff so it forms a kink if you try to accommodate many OEM-sized bends. Granted these OEM bends in question were molded from the factory, they were not too tight for most brands of hoses in my experience.I had to make two 90s and two 180s. Both 180s kinked, and the 90s kinked slightly but were fine. These were 2" radius bends at the tightest, not too much to ask of 3/8" ID hose. Those aftermarket hose coil / spring products to allow heater hose to bend a tight radius were expensive and hard to get on short notice. I was not interested in baking these in the oven or trying to form them. I simply went to AutoZone and bought a couple feet of transmission cooler line hose, which made these tighter bends without issue.I replaced all the power steering return hose on my 1990 Lexus LS400.
