These come in handy !! Not for what they was intended for me tho!! We have people at work that walk by and see your grinder or other corded tools and just take it so take one of those lock it on your power cord. So they think it's no good or They can take it but when they try to use it, they are screwed. Cause if they circumvent that safety device they'll be terminated immediately.

Works fantastically!!!And as a result my kid hates it lolI used this to put on his computer cord for when I'm at work and they aren't supposed to be playing video gamesIt fits snug and comes with keys that look Lazer cut so it can't just be picked. It is a really great invention that I needed!!

I bought a two pack and both locks are functional. Inserting/removing the keys is a bit rough at first, but insert/removing the keys quickly a few times breaks them in and makes it much smoother. They are key retaining, so the key can’t be removed until it’s fully locked, which helps in placing the lock on the plug, locking it, and removing the key/unlocking and removing the lock from the plug while only having to hold the key. The two locks are keyed differently and each lock comes with two keys that are laser engraved with an identifying number (two matching pairs), however the locks themselves don't have a matching number engraved to visually match keys to locks. As they are, only way to know which key goes to which lock is to try. Maybe not a problem for some, and ultimately super easy to fix, but I thought it was strange given similar locks are engraved on the lock itself and it’s matching key(s).The plastic feels a bit cheap, but given these are less about security and more so meant as a warning, I don’t think that’s an issue. They’re glued/sonic welded closed and seem solid enough.I tested the locks on just about every plug I could find throughout my house and they worked on probably 95% of them. The locks work by pressing a ball bearing (one for each prong) into the hole on the prongs (shown in photo), so these locks will not work on plugs that do not have holes in the prongs. The limiting factor for the plugs that DO have holes, but still don’t work, seems to be the distance between the flat face of the plastic/rubber plug (where the prongs protrude from) to the center of the hole on the prong. The “sweet spot,” where the lock sits firmly against the face of the plug, seems to be 12mm. If the distance between the face of the plug and the center of the hole is anything less than about 12mm, the lock either won’t fully close or will close with a bit of force which ultimately damages the lock because (I suspect, based on similar locks I’ve taken apart) the piece inside that pushes the metal ball bearings out is plastic and the metal ball bearings will indent that plastic piece. The lock still seems to function properly after that, but it does leave a rough spot when turning the key and may reduce its effectiveness in the future.
