The holes in the two arms were not large enough to allow the flapper to rotate on the overflow tube flanges when you flushed.

For someone that is not handy around tools, the installation was easy and fast. Simply unhook the old flapper and slip on the new flapper through the side holes. The material is a soft rubber that quickly fixed my leaky flapper, which would cause my toilet to make a fog horn sound and refill multiple times an hour. The warranty looks promising and quickly saved me money on water. Would buy again.

I had a leak from my old toilet flapper and was able to replace it my self and this a first for me.(I am a 78 year old widow.) It works fine and the toilet no longer leaks. I couldn't find a 3" flapper at the hardware store.
