On the fence about this. It's thin, stamped metal, but that makes it light. Too small to be serious cooking utensils for a camping group, but an interesting idea for one or two people. Knife is very sharp. Since there's a spoon included, I'd much prefer that the spork be a real FORK, which would work fine in the "tong" configuration.The case is substantial and well made.

The tongs are the star it was exactly what I was looking for to use for the small frying pan. I have done a steak one night and a burger another it made it much easier to control the flip in such a small pan. I would recommend them and likely get another set. Well worth the money.

Photos for reference. On the left; generic cheap stainless steel set (flimy stainless, but cheap and effective). In the middle; German military production Bund set (more expensive, better quality, pretty large). On the right; you know which one is on the right...I actually got this thinking it was going to be bigger and make a good car camping cook set with the tongs option. It turns out it's actually a pretty good back packing/personal set size. I like that it nests together, it's pretty light, seems pretty well made, and the size is appropriate for regular use, tongs are an interesting option. Biggest flaw, I loath sporks. It already has a spoon in the kit, why include a spork instead of a fork? Obviously I knew this when purchasing, however, like I mentioned, I bought it thinking it would be more usable for cooking especially with the tongs option. Since it's too small for that and it has a spork, I see it getting used very rarely. But if you're a spork person rest assured, the size is actually pretty ideal.

Does not matter where you are. Fantastic, easy to work with and compact. Fits my travel needs as I am on the move constantly. Amazingly versatile it is a quick use! Easy to wash the tong addition saves me with a quick click. Worth every cent!!!
