This is a great saw love the fact that I can change the blades without the use of a wrench and very low on vibrations and the case is a bonus

This unit did work as per design. I found that the variable speed is great for the different types of material. but the blades they supplied were not that good but it did last until I was able to get high quality ones.

This Porter Cable oscillating tool is amazing. It came with a few attachments but I bought three HOTBEST 68 piece universal wood and metal accessory pack. I love that this tool has the patented depth cutting guide. I was able to cut through drywall only with this during a demo of all of my built-ins in my living room with ease. Has a very long electrical cable which is a bonus. I especially love the quick connect for the accessories. just press the button and disconnect your tool and put the new one in and let go of the button. The tool motor is very powerful works great. Honestly because of the patented depth guide, I don't think you would buy any other tool except this one because none of the other ones have this. Comes with a very nice case to store it in along with my attachments that I ordered. I highly recommend this Porter-Cable oscillating tool.

This is my current favorite tool. I like it so much I look for reasons to use it. I've used two other multi-tool brands and have had issues with each. What are my favorite feature? 1.) No tools needed to change cutting/sanding heads - this makes it easy (and fun!) to change heads. I found that with my other multi-tools that required an allen wrench I'd need to plan my work differently to minimize the hassle of changing heads. Now I don't think about that and focus on the task at hand. 2.) Heavy-duty construction and motor - this baby never stops! 3.) Roller guide for cutting straight lines or keeping a specified distance. 4.) Extra long power cord. 5.) Lots of accessories came with the kit: cutting heads, sand paper, scraper. and finally, 6.) Great price! You don't feel like you're getting ripped off...I've read other reviews that complained about the device over-heating. I've never had that problem and I've done LOTS of cutting with this tool. I've found that if I'm not careful, I'll cover the ventilation holes with my gloved hand(s). This will cause the tool to warm up. For me, keeping the vents holes open (as I'm sure it was designed) prevents over-heating.Bottom line: If you're looking for a multi-tool that's fun to use and will last a long time then get this one.

muy útil en las reparaciones. con lo hecho con el aparato, ya se pagó pues las reparaciones fueron hechas en muchísimo menos tiempo y con un esfuerzo mínimo. no lo uso para trabajos pesados pues no es apropiado.

Really robust, really solid little tool. I have a Fein also, but wanted one to keep out of the truck at home. They perform identically, although I must say the porter cable is super comfortable to hold, really grippy. And the little depth gauge does come in handy. Given the cost difference, I'd have to say if you're in the market for one of these, get the Porter Cable. The Fein may prove to have superior longevity, but at more than twice the price even if you had to replace the thing (un-likely) after three years, you still come out ahead.

This has quickly become one of my favorite tools. It has all but replaced my hacksaw, and it does cutting jobs that were very difficult or almost impossible to do before. I have used the sanding discs a few times, but mostly use it for cutting. If you ever need to cut into a wall to insert an electrical box... you need this tool.I should probably give it a 4 1/2 if it was available, because there are a couple minor issues - but not enough to drop it from a 5. First, the tool gets pretty hot after just a minute or two. I have a tendency to "choke up" a bit on the tool by placing one hand fairly near the "business end". This gives me precise and fine control, but unfortunately, this is where the source of the heat is, and it becomes too hot to hold there after use.You have to hold the unit further back, which does not give you as much control. If the tool could have been designed to allow this, it would have been perfect. The other issue is the blades. Some of the competitors have teeth on the side, where these are only on the front tip. While you can move the blade to the side, this is not often the solution as it changes the blade orientation. There is an adapter so 3rd party blades can be used that I have not tried so that might be a solution. Otherwise, should Porter Cable make a "side cutting" blade, it would enhance the tool's usefulness. But again, these things I consider minor, and I did not want to give it 4 stars as otherwise it is a great tool.

I truly appreciate this tool. Finally getting to use it, I was cutting a vine out of a chain link fence. It was doing a great job. After about two hours, I stopped and went to the house. About halfway there, I felt whoozy, a bit nauseous. I laid down to rest. About an hour later, I noticed my left hand felt numb, tingly, strange sense of touch. That was 3-1/2 weeks ago. In the Instructions, which I hadn't read, there is a warning to take breaks, maybe cushion your hands with gloves, as heavy use can cause permanent nerve damage. I may have done that, surely hope not. The tool is wonderful, powerful, I think very well made. I'm amused at the strong grip it takes to operate the tool clamp to install or change tools. They made sure it is a firm grip! I appreciate the work it did for me. There is a bit of exaggeration about the number of pieces in the kit. A packet of 25 sanding pads should have been listed as one, not 25. Making this adjustment, this kit is comprised of 8 pieces, the case, the tool, a wood saw, a wood/metal saw, a wood/metal/drywall flush cut, a flat scraper blade, a sanding pad and a packet of sanding pads.
