Thick metal. I installed on a 2011 Tundra with a 6in lift. Make sure you check the reviews of the seller before you decide.

Not as pictured. The front plate recieved has “ProComp” laser cut into the metal. I was expecting just holes as pictured. Returned. I’m not being paid to be a billboard.

If you pay attention to what the item actually is, it's exactly as advertised! It comes with both the front and lower skid plates which seem to be pretty good quality. However, I'm giving four stars, because it comes with crappy aluminum screws that require a hex key or bit to install. They're pretty hard to install if you've allowed crud to build up in the bolt holes from not having skid plates for some time after installing the lift.Do yourself a favor and buy some real steel bolts from the hardware store that you can install/remove with a socket wrench. It only cost me around $9 to replace them all, and it'll save you time and a headache especially with oil changes. All in all, I can't really complain, because I paid way less than what other retailers were asking!

If I could have chose a zero, I would. I went with this skid plate as the price was good and it looked a little more durable then what I had. Once it got here, my mechanic attempted to get it on and it wouldn't fit right. Upon looking at the directions, it clearly states "For Toyota Tundra model years______ WITH A LIFT KIT". Nowhere in the "check the fit" or anything did it state for trucks with a lift kit, and I'm not gonna spend another grand for a lift kit I don't want to put a skid plate on.
