My solar water heater had a T1 Sensor Short indicator on the Sun Earth controllers screen. Called a repairperson on the phone, but he said it would be a week before he could make it out and it would be expensive because I'm in a remote part of Hawaii. He said that it was an easy repair/replacement, I just needed to get up on the roof and peel back the insulation to cut the sensor free. It was a weekend, so I wasn't able to get one from a local supplier, so, I ordered this sensor, along with some replacement pipe insulation. If it wasn't for climbing on the roof, its probably the easiest repair I've ever done. pull back the insulation, cut the wire where the old sensor was spliced in and install the new one with wire nuts.The wire attached to the sensor is about 2 feet long which was fine for my application, NOT the 160 feet the ad states. LOL

I have not worked on my solar water heater before and this was a piece of cake. The sensor was easy to replace and worked perfectly. Would have spent a lot more to have a professional do it and it wasn't hard at all. Just so it.
