What a fun plane. Very 3d capable. Plenty of power to hang on a prop.. very well built. Price is right.

It’s like the images so not many of my own were taken while I tested and played with this awesome kit. I couldn't record and fly sorry. I'll try to update with some pics and video of flight. (same as ad anyways) *This kit is for 10+ or even older depending on skills with RC'sThe batteries (x2) were quick to charge so the initial wait time wasn’t bad to get going. They also lasted a fair bit each depending on how hard I was going but about 15 minutes each. I also brought a battery pack to charge one while I was flying so it extended the time a little as well.I have always wanted an RC plane since I was a kid (as well as being a pilot), but when I had my tonsils removed, my prize was a plane on a string that hung from the ceiling. Lol close enough – didn’t lose it at least. And I became an IT guy. This is everything I needed it to be, to just be super happy in that moment. I loved every second of it.. even though the calibration was a little off at first (I understood that though), I could still throw-launch it and take control before it hit the ground. I otherwise only hit 2 trees and the turf once (not bad for the first time ever I think). The plane took it and didn’t mind so much. Thankfully the canopy and tail snugs in with magnets so when you DO hit a tree and it pops off, it’ easy to put back on and happily continue. I tried to calibrate it but I’m not sure if I did it correctly. It still likes to dive-bomb when levelled in stabilizer mode. I don’t think it matters so much in the other manual modes. The kit comes ready of course with a pretty okay transmitter that get’s the job done. There are a few switches for channels that aren’t used yet, but there are possibilities to expand things like a small camera. I fly drones, but this was my first plane. It was a fair bit different. I stayed in stabilizer mode for the first 2 batteries, but near the end of the second run I figured out the switches and got it into gryo mode which was crazy different again… but I did manage to pull off a short roll and a full loop!! Then back into stable mode and didn’t crash it that time..lol It’s great fun!! Even drew some attention of passer-byers.Okay there is a crazy amount to go over, but there is a software package windows and android I think, but it will allow you to customize the plane’s setup. It’s loaded with features and has some good telemetry for entry level. Way more than I expected. I was able to fly a plane right out of the box. Oh, and it’s super quiet! You can go pretty slow being an ‘A’ wing style, like full body wing basically. It extended flight time and was whisper quiet. Great gift.. it’s expensive because it’s “RTF – Ready To Fly.” And it is. Easy 5 stars!

Full disclosure I’m a racing drone guy. I’ve always wanted to try a plane but I’m still getting a hang of the drones and I can hardly fly for 60 straight seconds in full manual. The main thing that’s been keeping me away from the planes is that there’s no stopping, quad rotors can pretty much hit the breaks mid air and hover, planes just keep going. This kit is fantastic for learning to fly, it’s an especially good rudderless foamie plane, with gyro stabilization and It includes a radiolink t8s transmitter which is actualy phenomenal! I’ve never used a compact transmitter before but I’m in love, it’s like a video game controller but with proper sticks!Flight is an absolute breeze, channel 5 is on a 3 position rocker in the right trigger location, this lets you cycle between full gyro stabilization, gyro assist, and full manual (I haven’t tried that yet but I’m getting close. I’m not going to explain what the 3 modes are, it’s easy to look that up online, but if you don’t already know what they are you’ll want to stick to full gyro for now.PLEASE READ THIS PART! please make sure you check all of the screws for snugness before EVERY FLIGHT!!!! I haven’t put too many battery’s through this one yet but I have been practicing on the same plane but the PNP model. I sooo it out for a flight last week in an empty parking lot and one of the linkages on the left aileron rattled loose leading to an epic nosedive crash into asphalt. I got too excited and forgot to do my preflight check…. Be responsible!Overall this is the perfect beginner plane. Simple set up, built pretty solid, easy to learn and flys like butter.

I was quite impressed when I saw the D460 listed and wanted to see this bird fly. My previous experience has been with entry-level R/C planes and didn't realize I was stepping up a considerable notch, but after figuring out the ins and outs of the connections I managed to get her to fly.The D460 is essentially a "lifting body" design much like the type of spacecraft and re-entry vehicles NASA experimented with in the 70s and 80s. The fuselage shape, which is blended into the wing, is reminiscent of the B2 Bomber. The plane is controlled by a four-channel set-up that allows for full control of the port and starboard ailerons, giving advanced flyers the capacity to perform rolls and other maneuvers that I am not yet prepared to attempt. The controller is surprisingly powerful and comes with an internal rechargeable battery. The flight controller distance is rated for up to 2 kilometers, but as it's strictly a line-of-site you should not try to exceed reasonable visual access. The lack of landing gear is also something I have to get used to. I gather you are supposed to "soft-land it onto grass, or even gently bring it in and catch it with your hand.Like most R/C vehicles the learning curve is half the fun, and this plane promises to provide both a learning experience and some excellent flying time. Comes with two batteries, and a spare propellor as well!

Flight Review:I had a chance to fly this new plane today. If FUN is the name of the game in this hobby (and it should be), then Radiolink just hit a home run with this one. The new Radiolink D460 Turbot RTF flying wing is a TON OF FUN!!!Hand launches and belly landings are easy. It flies nice and stable fast or slow. It has plenty of power. It's quiet. The power system is efficient too. I got a flight in over 20-minutes long with the included battery using throttle management. There was still plenty of juice left in the battery. The plane comes with Radiolink's included Byme-DB gyro flight controller featuring 3 flight modes. It flies fantastic in stability mode (with bank limiting and self level). The parameters are set in a manner that still allows for rapid turns even in this more beginner friendly mode. Gyro mode (wind mitigation) offers a decent flight experience as well. Loops and roles are fun. However, I did find that the control surfaces feel extremely touchy in this mode. That's where a programmable transmitter allowing for easy rate and expo adjustments would come in handy as opposed to the included T8S. It was quite breezy today and this plane is on the smaller side. So manual mode (gyro off) wasn't very enjoyable. You may want to consider skipping this mode unless you have perfect weather conditions (no wind) and/or enjoy living on the edge! The RTF package includes the D460 plane, T8S controller, 2 flight batteries (2s 800mah) with charger, charging cable for controller, 2 props with multiple spare prop savers and a bag of tools/bits. Also included is a users manual for both the plane and controller. The box comes in handy for easily transporting everything.
