This is not really a review. It’s one of the last few things my uncle asked me to buy before he passed away, he really liked it though. He was into cars a lot. So if he liked this. It should be good.

The quality of these shocks are unacceptable, unsafe and not able to be installed. The manufacturer painted the threaded stem on the piston shaft. Both shocks had the threaded portion welded crooked onto the piston. The “adjustable” knob made no difference in compression or rebound when cycling by hand, how could it possibly make a difference once installed on your vehicle. There was so much paint on the threaded end of the piston that the supplied washers could not slide over the shaft into position. Also because of the paint the supplied nut could not be turned more than one full turn before stopping. Did not even attempt to install these. Returned immediately. Shame on Rancho shocks. I put this model shock on a previous vehicle in 2015. The quality was poor then, now the quality is unusable and unsafe.

I used these Rancho's on a Land Cruiser. They allow multiple adjustments. Once on the Land Cruiser they were very had to correctly adjust. I contacted Rancho and they sent new adjustment knob and hardware that required removing the old knob and plate and attaching a new one. As long as you have access to do with the shock on the vehicle it will only take removing a few screws and then putting the new plate and knob on the shock. Once I did the update I was pleased with the adjustment of the shocks. Rancho was willing and quick in addressing my problem. Did not have to send in documentation.

really like these on my 60 series landcruiser, quite a lot of adjustability and pretty cool with the wireless controller
