Bought this and the other front one for my Ram 1500 and they were the same length as the stock struts, so install was super easy, but it only added 1” of height to my truck, but the ride became rougher, and the adjustment knobs we’re worthless. Will never buy another Rancho product.

I bought these to level my Ram. I couldn't care less about the ride adjust ability. Thank god, because I have gone through all the settings and cant feel a difference. It is still sloppy and soft.The real reason I give it 3 stars....Product Quality and Customer Service.PRODUCT QUALITYAfter 10 months of use the lower idolator broke while I was driving. Luckily I was going slow through a parking lot, otherwise I don't know how long I would have driven if I could not have heard the part fall out. After inspection, it appears to be made of a glass filled nylon as opposed to urethane. That means yes, it has great tensile strength and stiffness , but it is also prone to abrasion, compression damage and can be brittle. Also I don't offroad or travel bumpy roads. Rancho is supposed to be built for offroading.CUSTOMER SERVICEThe lifetime warranty is a joke. I called Rancho, they do not do warranty claims. I was told go through the seller. They could not send me a new strut nor do they carry just the isolator.Not even a concern or apology for my safety. Almost luckily I bought from Amazon LLC (not third party on Amazon). Sending me an entire new strut was an option, but that's where my luck stops. They would not have a replacement for another 1-2 months. So basically my truck is unsafe to drive till then.I was offered a full refund and I had to spend an additional $55 (29% more) to buy at a local auto parts store.

I have these on my 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie with the setting at 7. This is the happy median between luxury and hardcore ride on my truck.

Good quality, fits as expected and adjustability is a bonus. Will be buying matching Rancho rear shocks in the spring.

Put theese struts in about 15000 kms ago and they no longer keep the truck leveled. It looks like the front sits lower than the back again. On the plus side though I got the matching shocks for the rear and my truck rides like a champ now. Muuuuch better than it did. I have the front set to 7 and the back at 1. 2014 ram 1500

I bought these shocks to replace the oem shocks on my 2012 Ram 1500. I use my truck alot recreational purposes so i wanted a heavier duty shock that i could adjust. These rancho shocks, as well as the rs 9000xl rear shocks i also bought, worked flawlessly right off the bat. I gained 2" of lift in the front which later sunk down to the normal 1.5" of lift.These shocks were installed for only about four days before i put them to the test hauling my quad and trailer up to a campground 4 hours away from where i live. The truck road great and felt very controlled.I also purchased a set of hd rear coils for my truck instead of going to airbags. Could not be happier with this suspension setup!Picture above is before the hd coils were installed. The hd coils gave me another 1" lift in the rear. Truck looks like a real truck now :)

Easy install, did it myself just had an alignment done after. Truck sits perfect now and rides unbelievable in the rough stuff and great on road manners as well. Love the adjustability of the rebound 1 click to the softer side was perfect for me

Leveled my 2011 ram 1500 front end, i like the adjustability dial, set mine to 7. Installed on my own in my driveway in about 2hrs, would have been a big help to have another person assisting with the control arms and guiding the lower bolt into position though. The dampening is much better going over speed bumps than the stock ones were!

Great replacement for the factory struts. These brought the front of my 2014 Ram 1500 up about 2" and eliminated most of the factory rake as it now sits more level than anything and removes the timid look of the truck with nose down. Body roll is almost completely eliminated with these. Fully adjustable depending on the need which allows for custom control over shock tension. In my case, I turn the tension up when the plow is on and it virtually eliminates any drop with the plow raised. I did have an earlier version of the quick lifts on a previous truck for years and could not be happier with how these struts perform.

I've installed these along with the RS9000XL shocks -- the combination has improved my 2012 Ram 1500 4x4's handling characteristics immensely. I have all four corners set to '7' and I get no more wallowing AND the suspension does absorb pot holed roads without rattling teeth. The truck handles as if it is on tracks and I no longer watch my hood bounce every time I go around corners.Choose the left and right versions of these (one ends in 30, the other in 44)A few hints and tips for install:a) There are a TON of videos on the web to show how to install the loaded struts.b) Look at my review on the RS9000XL for installation hints and tips. A 21mm or 22mm 'crows foot' is required for the rear.c) When installing the quick lifts in the front, follow the installation instructions you find on the web... BUTi) Disconnect the sway bar from the top. When reconnecting -- just tighten the bolt until the link starts twisting. The TOP boltshouldn't be much more than finger tight (Bottom bolt is 75 foot pounds which is what is quoted on the web.ii) Make sure you take off your caliper and disconnect the anti lock cable from the back of the spindle (simple plastic holder)iii) The upper ball joint pops off by itselfiv) The lower ball joint needs help. Put a 10mm socket on the bottom and smack the heck out of it. That will pop it off withouthurting the bolt.v) Torque specs are on the web. Ball joints are 40-45 foot pounds. Lower strut bolt - 155 foot pounds. Upper tower bolts - 45foot pounds.vi) Make sure you have 21 and 24 mm sockets.Again, plenty of videos for how to do this. I searched on "video installing lift kit ram 1500" and "video how to install front struts ram 1500". Set aside a day to do the front and rear.
