These tires provide some grip on both aspalt and dirt and in fact tosses dirt under acceleration. Excellent on my Grom RC. The rims are plastic butvwith a robust pattern lending strength to the tires and a solid connection to the axles via a 12mm hub. The tires are very soft and appear to have a foam inner core which produces a little bounce on rougher surfaces. Overall good tire and rim combination that is soft yet with substantial grip on and off road.
