Had an old Evinrude that had the steering frozen up so bad had to take an air hammer to drive out the steering rod. Tried wire brushes, sandpaper, etc on the tube but none of them did the job. Got the reamer and it did the job in about 5 minutes. Beware, the shank is 5/8. Had to grind the shank down a little to fit my 1/2 drill. Flattened a couple of sides on the shank to keep it from slipping. Worked great. Worth every penny.
