Ordered to get everything I might need and just have everything repaired/replaced all in one set, as the car I was putting it in had 200,000+ miles. Overall price was worth just replacing the axle, regardless of the condition of the one in the car.I lifted car, took axle off, and opened the differential. Upon opening this box I found the gasket was left loose in the box and was destroyed. The gasket should have been in a bag or had something to protect it. The bearing and axle seal didn't appear to be of that great of quality. I had to go to local auto parts store to get another ($15) gasket, in the middle of the project.After I got back, and took the bearing out, I realized the bearing in the car (1999 Ford Crown Victoria) was a different (SKF R1563 repair) bearing and wasn't the bearing provided in this package. After needing a gasket and a $65 bearing, I decided against putting the axle in and chose to return the kit instead. I'd recommend this if you need an axle but you'll want to plan on buying a gasket to have on hand, which is annoying but necessary.Related to a Crown Victoria, I'd also recommend getting a Dorman differential shaft lock bolt (part number 81048) before pulling the axle apart. If yours gets stripped, you won't want to put the stripped bolt back in.
