I’m not sure why someone would give less than 5 stars. Easy to install, works as expected and advertised. I guess a little pricey but worth the money

Works just as advertised. Easy to install. Things to know... it states that a deep socket is needed, but I was able to use a standard wrench where the deep socket would be needed. Also, be careful with the small ball joint bolts. I dropped one in the engine and it took forever to find. It is very unlikely to fall all of the way through. And even though Amazon stated that this does not fit on a 2024 Ford Ranger, I successfully installed this on a 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat without any issues.

These struts should have come with the truck. Perfect fit, easy installation, and work fantastic. If you have a 24 or 25 Ranger, you need these and thank yourself every time you open the hood. I know I do.

The video was a great source to follow on installing. Build quality seems great and functionality works better than expected for the weight of the hood. It does open farther than the hood prop rod would for holding the hood and I like that if the strusts were to go out years from now. I will still have a backup. Eliminating the hood prop allows for more space to work in the engine bay. As well as it works and as easy as it was to install, the value was definitely worth it.!!Note--that you want to ensure the arm's for the lower struts have space on the sides from the frame of the truck.
