This is helpful for holding a spare tire; previously my spare was just bouncing around in the back of the van. It was a little difficult to get this mounted, mostly just due to the nature of the vehicle. Once up, it works well, I was able to attach the spare and 'lock' it in place. The option to use a lock is nice, and because it doesn't come with a lock you can pretty much choose what kind you want (keyed, combo, biometric).

Just what my husband wanted for his new spare tire on the boat, easy to install and looks good, too.

Very easy to install on any trailer. Extremely useful to store your spare tire and keep it out of the way. Made out a good material and should last many years. Fits many different sizes of rims also. It comes with a way to lock it as extra security.

Generally, one would not worry much about your trailer's spare tire. But it is always good to know your spare is secure. A good spare will keep you off the side of the road while you take your tire to be fixed. Sooner or later you will need your spare tire and knowing it is secure locked in place brings peace of mind. Having been in situations needing a spare it is always good to have one for a quick change and back on the road without loosing a day's travel or being late to events. This is a great product, easy to attach to your trailer and easy to use.

It states weight limit is 120 pounds, I would not risk a spare too big or heavy with this bracket. It is easy to mount and use, looks good, decent hardware. I would say fine for smaller tires like boat, utility, etc. I tried a 6 lug equipment trailer wheel, it worked fine, it did wobble some, I'm sure thats expected. I'm not sure what they weigh, maybe 60 pounds.

This accessory to keep your spare tire attached to the trailer is awesome. It’s adjustable for various frame widths with predrilled holes to accommodate your selection. The bolts come with this for attaching to your frame are 4 1/2 inches in length and they come with a lock washer, flat washer and nut.The 2 tire bolts that come with to attach your spare to the mounting plate are 2 inch carriage bolts with a flat washer a lock washer and a nut for the both of them. One of them is, in fact, pre-drilled to accommodate a lock of your choosing through the bolt, where a pre-drilled hole is made for your lock shaft. Now one thing, the predrilled one I received has a bit of metal debris blocking the hole. I’ll just match the size with a drill bit to finish the hole smooth, shouldn’t be a big deal at all…just Inspect yours to be sure you are good to go.It’s so plainly obvious how this assembles that Instructions are NOT included…come to think of it neither are the batteries :)
