It was packaged well and worked right out of the box with my existing Roland equipment. Would recommend for anybody with the V1HD

I bought a second unit as a backup to the primary unit in use. Nothing has failed; just purchased this to have as a hot spare.

You have many choices when choosing a capture device but I have found the generic low cost import versions will fail after time and become trash. If your video stream is important and simply can't fail I suggest to choose this Roland product as its a better product! #1 its housed in a heavy metal box and feels like a better product. This unit will also allow you to insert your audio via the side mounted 3.5 mm jack . As example when taking audio from a Church audio mixer and needing to insert the audio into your stream. I purchased this Roland to replace a failed import capture device that did not have the audio insert feature so I was already inserting my audio into my PTZ camera 3.5 mm audio in jack and was worried this may not pass my audio, but it did fine but note in windows Facebook live setup I still had to choose Roland as my audio source even with me inserting the audio into the camera. You can just tell this product is 100x better "PRO" grade stuff, worth the cost for the better pro grade IMO.This unit has the USB 3.0 fast jack but in my case I had an older computer with only USB 2.0 jacks and I had no problems getting this unit to work but I do suggest using USB 3.0 computers with any capture devices.I have a buddy in the business and he and I agree, the lesser grade units mostly all fail with time, he has never had a issue with the Roland failing and he had installed many in pro setups, this is my first time with this Roland product but just holding this military grade metal brick in my hand, I'm sure it will last a good long time. The lower price, plastic units are just not ready for prime time, if you need your stream to be 100% buy the Roland!

Video capture on the Mac, set up and working within minutes out of the box. Another amazing, quality Roland product.
