Although the instructions that came with it are not for the Dell XPSL702 as advertised, the drive itself is for this computer and fits nicelyThe catch to install is that you wont have to unscrew all the baseplate of notebookJust unscrew one screw to open donwplate and inside it, unscreww one more screw, at the rear of drive and it is loose, so you can just slide it offLook in youtube for video instructions on how to disassemble to find out which screw to loose (but if you prefer, loose the 2 of them, that are in drive rear position, and you wont missThe main problem is to loose front plastic cover, once the drive is outside notebook ( you will need to use this in the new drive, tha come with no front for this note)You will need some patience with its 4 plastic clipsI did test the drive in reading Blurays, and it works great and right awayWill update after test in writing
