works perfectly for the captain seatpost of my tandem. Inner diameter of the thing is about 27.3 mm (see pic)

it doesn't fit old school bmx bikes like my 1984 haro sport

Its little tall for bmx post (1" 38") but other that that it works very good! If you put it half on frame post half on seat post works great that way too!
