I'm surprised of those reviews here saying that the anchor does not open. I had this case once. And I immediately read the manual and watched youtube videos to make sure I use anchors properly. And you will be surprised - it helped! Lol.Before using you need to put all parts together CORRECTLY. The anchor part (the bar) has to be tucked ALL THE WAY IN. If the bar is to far, the bolt cannot catch it.Then TEST THE ASSEMBLY by screwing the bolt. Does it catch? Tuck/return the bar back in.IF YOU FAIL TO PULL THE BAR CLOSER, screw the assembly out. And repeat the process again. It's not hard.

The mechanism for these is good but be aware that they go very deep. It's easy for the toggle to get caught on things (nails, insulation, other toggles) and not want to tighten correctly. Also take note of how big these are, the hole they will leave is substantial. Overall good for their intended purpose but can't imagine you'll need as many as the pack has.

I had four anchor points that I tried to use this this product on. All four did not work. The first part screws into the wall perfectly but when you drive the screws in, they just spin and spin never 'biting'. Complete waste of time and money.

Our wire shelving in the laundry room over the washer an dryer was sagging as the included hardware was pulling out from the wall. After taking out the failed drywall anchor pins (looked like a short thick nail) I used these. I was concerned but my fears were unfounded as the anchors went in smoothly just as the directions stated. Shelf is solidly held in place and wife can put heavy items on it such as a large container of detergent. No sagging now! Almost too easy! the original holes were smaller and acted just as a pilot hole. It may look bad but you should have seen it before I used these anchors. It looked hopeless! There is residue from trying to cover past failure. It works that is all that counts for me! Could make it prettier but wife is happy and again it is much prettier than it was before!

After a couple of unfortunate failed attempts (and subsequent drywall patching) with other products that I've left reviews for on Amazon, these finally did the trick. Simple and effective, these things could probably hold your body weight on the wall. Be careful with the metal piece that slides around in the stake, and you'll be fine. These things gripped so hard I nearly pulled a huge section of my wall out when I torqued it too much, so be careful for that. But also be thankful that this product actually does what it says it does. Finally!

I have used all types of anchors. I have used hundreds and hundreds of them. These are the most sophisticated design, I have come across. They give you the maximum benefit of both an anchor and a toggle bolt- all in one. Additionally, they are exceptionally easy-to-use. Are extremely useful and effective if you live in any area with high humidity. The humidity affects the drywall and significantly increases the probability that many anchors will not hold. So far, these are working fabulously! Not a single problem or failure. If you want reliability and ease-of-use, use this anchor. This is one you can depend on

These are the only anchors I've used for years. They hold the most weight if installed correctly. Before putting anything in the wall, make sure to push in and thread the screw. After going in and out smoothly, pivot the bar back straight and slide it back into place. When screwing the base into the drywall, make sure you don't tighten past being flush with the surface of the wall for maximum support. Before mounting anything, insert the screw and tighten till you feel the pivot bar is snug against the inside of the wall. The screw will not slide out at all if you pull on it. Then take the screw out and mount what you want. When following these steps, I haven't had any problems. Also, another pro tip, if you no longer need the anchor, all you have to do is push the base of it into the wall a few millimeters (put a screwdriver in and lightly tap the handle with your palm a few times). When you do that, it will take just a little putty to patch it up without dealing with a hole going all the way through.
