I bought this along with a small metal rake. I use it to clean my dog run. I didn't like any of the modern poop scoopers that I saw and this has worked out fine. I don't have to bend down which is hard on my back.

Product: Silicone Dust Pan with Handle Commercial Lobby Dustpan with Long Handle Stand Up Dustpan, 48" 3-Part Long Handle, by SuperioASIN: B0CZLSJJF3The dustpan comes with a three part handle, which I used all of because I preferred a longer handle. It was very easy to assemble, but the first time I tried using the dustpan, the handle came off twice. I had to tighten it up to prevent it from detaching easily. This is a stand-up dustpan, but I keep an eye on it when I leave it standing because there is a tendency for it to fall sideways, which has happened before, leading to a mess that I had to clean again. It's not as stable as I expected.Despite my experience with it, I still prefer this silicon dustpan over a regular one. I like it because it is lighter and easy to carry anywhere in the house, and it bends easily, allowing me to use it in tight corners or difficult positions.

Everyone knows the basic problem with dust pans, its the same problem you have with spatulas. You want them to be thin so its easy to get stuff onto it, but they also need to fit flat up against the surface of the floor (or pan in the case of a spatula) yet they need to be durable enough not to immediately break. I recently got some silicone spatulas and now with this silicone dust pan, I can say it is a good material for the job. The stick comes in 3 sections to make shipping cheaper, and its basically fine. I was worried when I took it out of the box that the bottom edge of the dust pan was a little wavy, but when you press it against the floor it flattens out and does what it should.
