I ordered this to be used in a hand router, but I don't know if that will be a viable option as solid carbide tends to be fragile. This bit is SUPER tiny, and will be used for incredibly fine detail or predrilling small holes with plunge cuts.It seems to be quality and will work well in a CNC machine, which I hope to get soon.

I have several CNC Router bits from SpeTool - All have been excellent quality. I buy the 1/8" with 1/4" shanks 5 at a time to have in stock, the perform as good or better than bits costing much more.This bit is superb for clearing the corners of some very detailed pocket toolpaths in HDPE plastic. The single O-flute clears those tiny chips away so there minima cleanup.None-the-less, this is extremely fragile and if you leave it in the collet in the spindle over the table, and forget it's there, if your air pressure drops after turning the router off and the spindle drops to the table, you're probably going to be unhappy the next day when you discover your error. Of course, this NEVER happened to me, but it could!It's a great bit!

I'm using this with a hobby CNC that runs a palm router. This bit fit perfectly. I bought it to cut surface designs into acrylic sheets to make fun lights. I haven't done a full design yet, but my tests look good. With such a small diameter tip, I'm going slow (25"/min) and using a minimal depth step (0.010"). I haven't broken it yet!
